CarPlay/AA AI box recommendations?

Has anyone been using a RELIABLE CarPlay/Android Auto AI box in their truck? I've read and watched reviews for a while now and it seems most of them are Chinese junk. They range in price from $50-60 to over $200....is this truly a "get what you pay for" proposition with these? My only real "must have" is that it must be able to sideload apps in .apk form so that I can install my ipTV app.

I have a new cell provider and my plan includes a pretty good hotspot so I want to use an AI box to take advantage of this.

Problem with most ai boxes is one, like you said, Chinese. Two, you have to disconnect your phone and run everything through the box. I listen to my Amazon music app wired android auto but you still need a bluetooth handshake. Just doesnt work for me. I wouldnt use anything but the fullscreen maps and giving up basically my phone isnt worth it to me.
