carplay connectivity problems what is the solution?

I have an iPhone SE...its compact and fits in the pocket real nice...I have set up my Driver profile in the Uconnect system and have added both mine and the wife's (iPhone14) and whom ever gets into the vehicle first ends up be connected to the Uconnect system via Bluetooth Carplay...Never had an issue.

iPhone 15 pro. It’s runs nearly perfect wirelessly.
BUT if I have the truck running and connected to CarPlay and I take the phone out of the truck and walk far away enough that it disconnects, when I come back there is a chance the CarPlay will not work. At that point I’ll have to completely delete the phone from the car and repair them.

Same issue here CarPlay just died on me a couple times today, tried the resets and wipes etc. Going to try tomorrow and see where it gets me

Really strange...wonder if its the 15. I have the 13, can walk away, can really do anything and it connects right away. My wifes 15 has issues all the time.....

I had a ram rebel rental this week, wireless worked fine but if I plugged in a cable and unplugged it, I would lose CarPlay forever. I went to my meeting got back in the truck and wireless worked great I was afraid to plug in the cable again.

It probably just didn't work early on because the spyware that someone installed in the rental truck was bogging down your phone as it downloaded all your data.

thats the key on my truck also...I never plug in now and my carplay works great 99% of the time.

AA and Carplay connect through both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi...make sure both are on, Bluetooth the phone to Uconnect and then it should prompt you to set up Carplay. Also make sure wireless Carplay is on in Uconnect settings if it has that setting.

I have had 6 Uconnect vehicles and they have an occasional attitude but nothing a phone reboot or shutting the vehicle off and restarting hasn't fixed.

Why is it every time I need CarPlay to connect my Ram infotainment system won't connect my phone.
My truck is update and so is my phone, Apple 13 Pro Max. Ram must have a bunch of pimple faced kids doing the programming. Apple CarPlay has been around a long time and so has my Infotainment system (Level 0). This is the one thing I HATE about my RHO.

What is going on…? I have not had a single issue with CarPlay and it makes me wonder…make sure you select wireless or wired, works like a charm every time. Audiophiles will want wired connections.

Didn’t have any issues for first couple of months of ownership now feels like I might have better luck playing Russian roulette than connecting my phone to this piece of shit. Have had five different cars with CarPlay since 2016 and never had this much trouble. Sometimes it works wired sometimes it looks wirelessly. Sometimes I have to delete it three times to make it reappear and work. Every time it is, of course when I actually need to use navigation or some other app making me late and really pissing me off.

Mine did the same last Sunday, on both occasions it would not connect...until then, I've had 4 months and 8600 miles problem free...and Yet this week not an issue since...
FYI, I had completely rebooted the phone several times and checked the Carplay setting and did the Uconnect soft reboot...I'm putting it down to a random spurious booting up issue at the start
