Here's where things stand. The class action was filed in federal court in Michigan in late August, so it's at a very early stage. No class has been approved, and nothing has been decided. Cases like this usually take years to resolve, if they resolve at all.
Your case is separate. We filed your individual lemon law case in January under California's lemon law, which gives you remedies specific to your situation. We expect your case to resolve well before the class action does. When it settles, the settlement will resolve all of your claims related to the truck, including anything covered by the class action.
If you receive a class action notice (by mail or email), here's what to do:
1. Forward it to us right away.
2. Don't fill out a claim form, opt out, object, or respond to the notice yourself.
3. Don't contact the class action attorneys or the claims administrator.
Class notices often come with deadlines, and responding the wrong way could complicate your individual case. Once you send it to us, we'll review it and handle next steps with you.
For now, there's nothing you need to do. Just keep sending us any new repair orders if the truck goes back to the dealer.
