Dealer Service Fun

Took the RHO into the dealer today for warranty work, headlamp, software, rear securement. Also thought I’d grab an oil change and tire rotation. Drive it home get out and then see this on the rim. Called up the service department and they are “reviewing video”. Any thoughts on what caused this in the shop? Clearly it’s not curb rash and how would you even curb the rim with these tires?!?

Yeah, I’ve had that happen at the dealer before as well. They offered to have the rim reworked, but wouldn’t replace it.

My guess is they damaged it while rotating tires. Probably with their impact gun, as the marks appear to be from rotary action.

I agree. Clearly doesn’t look like a curbing mark. It’s those guys on hwy 96 @Eighty. Hoping they own it, will find out on Monday.
