What did map 3 Dyno look like? Strong numbers on map 1
Map 3 put down 575hp and 607tq, no gain in power but a small bump on torque compared to map 2.What did map 3 Dyno look like? Strong numbers on map 1![]()
that could mean you're overboosting...or it's getting a bad reading from the map sensor/faulty wiring from the map sensor. The hidden cost of the dyno.....I now have multiple faults and the truck won't start even with drive shaft back in. Strange that this didn't occur while the ds was out, it drove just fine with the exception of no being able to select a drive mode.

Do you have the full graphs or logs from the dyno pulls?
So in my opinion, the drop in Filter K&N pushes is more than likely to degrade from power from the stock filter. Thanks for posting the info.Hey,
I just did a dyno run today and I did a run with the oem filter and a AFe filter. I lost power with the AFe filter, this was on the Cat 6. I'll post the results later on today. These trucks don't need intake systems or they'll need to be tuned for it once the ecu is cracked.
It's a dry filterI do not yet have my RHO. Is the stock air filter dry or oiled? The red makes my brain think oiled, but that would be pretty aggressive for this not being a hypercar.
Thank you. That makes sense, but the red color was throwing me off hahahaaaIt's a dry filter
I was wondering the same thing !!How did you manage that? Disconnect the driveshaft?
I was wondering the same thing !!
I wanted to remove mine for some 2wd fun, but I was worried about the clutch burn. Good idea with the fuseYes, disconnect/remove the front driveshaft and remove the DTCM fuse. That prevents the clutches from engaging and possibly burning them up.
In regards to the graph, understood and agreed. I'm more interested in seeing the curve than the numbers itself. The reason i say that, is with the different filter, was there any time for the computer to learn new fuel and wastegate duty cycle? if a new filter was put in and dyno'd immediately, it could be pulling timing/throttle closure if it's all the sudden getting a lot more air, same goes for downpipes. Theoretically, the only gains from downpipes should be that fact that the engine isn't working as hard to push exhaust out. The engine should just have an easier time reaching its tune targets. If it's overshooting those, over time it should learn not to.I did not get a chance to snap a photo of the graphs because I was in a rush to get out of there. They said they would send me an email with each individual dyno run but I still have not received it.
Truthfully, I do not really care about the dyno on my truck. I only did it because a lot of people have been asking to see what kind of numbers the downpipes put down. The dyno was just a tool to see the power improvement. Based on that pull, I think I am somewhere around 530 to 550 awhp on map 3. I also was not a fan of having to do it in RWD. Just because it shows 580 to the rear wheels does not mean it is making that when all 4 wheels are engaged.
As for the truck issue, that one was on me. To remove or install the front driveshaft you have to pull the downpipes. When I went to reinstall the bank 1 downpipe, I bumped the connection at the ECM just enough to break contact but not enough for it to be clearly visible. When I went back to check the clips I felt it click back into place. Once it did, I went inside, hit the start button, and it fired right up.
