Did You Hear That? 👀 RHO Exhaust Options are HERE!!

Extreme vs. Trail Rated – Which MRT Exhaust is Right for Your Ram 1500 RHO?
The stock exhaust on the Ram 1500 RHO is way too quiet for a high-performance off-road truck. If you've ever hopped in, hit the ignition, and been let down by the lack of sound, you're not alone. MRT has two solutions to wake up the Twin-Turbo 3.0L Hurricane I6 and give your RHO the sound and presence it deserves: the Extreme Mid Pipe and the Trail Rated Mid Pipe.

I've put together two videos showcasing the interior exhaust experience, so you can hear how each system changes the driving experience from inside the cab.

Extreme Mid Pipe – Maximum Performance Sound
The Extreme Mid Pipe is all about aggression and attitude. It delivers performance sound at all times, making sure your RHO doesn’t just look the part but sounds like the beast it is. At full throttle, it roars to life with a raw, race-inspired tone, while at cruising speeds, it dials back just enough to remain enjoyable without being overbearing. If you want a commanding exhaust presence both inside and outside the truck, this is the system for you.

Trail Rated Mid Pipe – Refined Power with On-Demand Sound
The Trail Rated Mid Pipe shares a similar deep, muscular exhaust note but is designed for those who want a more controlled and refined experience. It provides on-demand performance sound when you step on the throttle, but during highway cruising, it settles into a smooth exhaust whirr behind you, making for a comfortable and drone-free ride. It’s the best of both worlds—aggressive when you want it, and composed when you need it.

These videos give you a real-world look at how each system sounds from the driver’s seat, so you can decide which one fits your style best. No matter which you choose, both systems wake up the RHO the way it should have sounded from the factory.
Sounds good, how did you connect your radar detector so the wire is not visible?

Waiting...

Wasn’t in a rush to buy it...

...not in a rush to mod it.

Waiting to see what the next 6 months brings.

Is everyone getting the extreme? I'm torn...
I'd probably get the trail rated... but I'm also going to wait to see what Corsa has, and I'd like more real world feedback on the MRT systems

If you don't perform dyno testing for HP, then both pipes are designed exclusively for sound vs. performance?

Also, if you aren't monitoring HP before and after installation, how do you know your changes aren't reducing HP?

Thanks!

Exhaust upgrades don’t add a huge amount of power on their own. They help the engine breathe better, which can improve performance, but not in a way that you’ll instantly feel. Modern vehicles are controlled by computers that keep everything running within a set range of settings.

For example, if an intake claims to add 10 HP and an exhaust claims another 10 HP, that doesn’t mean you’ll actually gain 20 HP. The real difference comes when the vehicle gets a proper tune. Until the computer is adjusted to work with the new parts, any power increase will be small.

However, an exhaust upgrade is a great supporting mod when paired with things like an intake, downpipes, and a tune. Once the ECU is recalibrated, you can see bigger gains from all the parts working together.

Dyno results can also change depending on location, temperature, humidity, and elevation, so the numbers aren’t always the same. A lot of advertised horsepower gains are more about marketing than real-world performance. While reducing backpressure can give a small boost in power, real gains come when the vehicle’s computer is tuned to take full advantage of the upgrades.

Purchased. Now need my truck lol. Supposed to ship 2-12
I hear you, I bought it yesterday and my truck has been at the Pearland rail yard since 1-16. Anxious would be an understatement at this point.

Hey everyone,

Thank you all for your patience as we finish up the first batch of RHO Extreme Mid Pipes! Every single exhaust is handcrafted by skilled fabricators who cut, shape, and weld each piece with care. We’re currently in the final stages of the process, welding on the exhaust hanger rod. Once that's complete, the RHO systems will be off to our shipping team and ready to head your way.

We’re working hard to get these out the door as soon as possible. Keep an eye on your inbox—shipment notifications will be coming soon!

what about the trail system? any update on stall instructions, curious about how the stock system could be reinstalled if need be

We have a small amount of Trail Rated systems that will cover all of the backorders, and we should have a couple in stock. Our team is finalizing the installation instructions right now, and they’ll be available soon.

As for reinstalling the stock system, it will clamp back in at the 3 stock clamps. The one cut point on the system is in a straight section of the over-axle tube, which makes it easy to clamp back together at that cut point.
