Driving Mode - Custom

I jumped into Snow mode once just to see what it was all about, and it felt like it cut my power output in half, or at least killed throttle sensitivity. so it’s reasonable to think mileage would be better there. I hated it, though.

Sport mode in town drops my MPG significantly… which makes sense since it holds higher RPM at those speeds. I haven’t tried it at highway speeds but I’ll have to give that a shot.

i will definitely be testing this custom setting while driving around today running errands. i will see if the same mpg savings helps while in "city" driving vs just cruising on the highway.

Only issue with Sport and city driving is keeping your foot out of it between stops and lights...that eats all your savings.

Dumb question but when you go into manual mode, anyone else ever see a redline show up on the tach at about 4500 rpm? What does it mean? It doesn’t show up consistently. To me it seemed like that it was telling u when to hit the paddle if you’re flooring it so you don’t hit the rev limiter?

Correct, Auto default upon every start.
While you can customize auto, you can't change the trans setting. Custom let's you set it up exactly how you want. I start the rig, press the right arrow mode button once and the auto s/s off...that's my sequence.

Meant so say "can't" change trans in auto.
But yes, custom is great to run sport trans and suspension without losing traction control. I believe dedicated sport mode turns it off.

Gave @Mikey Swift custom setting recommendation a try on the way into work this morning. Impressed for the first drive. Very good suggestion!
