Driving RHO in “beach” sand…any issues?

For anyone who has ever aired down a 35”, 325m width tire, you know it can take forever! And, getting the pressures even on 4 individual tires is a pain in the a$$.

Get one of these! $50 well spent.

Yes, I waited the 10 minutes “cool off” during the Summer. I recently did a fill in 57 degree weather. It was windy, had on only a t-shirt & wanted to get back in the warm truck….so, I “let her eat”. No problem, though I did occasionally monitor how hot things were getting. The air hose never got warm near the tire valve, but the near the pump, it got pretty warm.

Tip: the unit draws air from the bottom. I keep a piece of cardboard handy to place under the pump rather than just placing it in the dirt. Thinking it will definitely prolong the pump life.

Also, the cigarette lighter power adapter “plugs” into the battery clamps. Make sure they are tightly pushed together. I had a scare after an aired down run.

Had my wife & another couple in the truck with a 75 mile paved trip home. Tires were down at 15psi, so I had to air up. Got the pump set up & hit the power button & nothing! I was ready to throw the compressor into the woods when my co-pilot pushed the power adapter together & the pump fired up.
Yikes, I would have had the same reaction! Good thing for helpful co-pilots! Appreciate all the feedback!

No! That mode only puts 25% of the torque to the front axle. 50-50% split is more suitable for sand.

Unless you want to impress your friends with big, sandy rooster tails…right before you get stuck.
Haha never had a problem in the dunes but good to know
