Oh for the love of God, the only guys who seem to have phenomenal TRX MPG numbers are the ones who come here to roast RHO owners.

There’s no freaking way the TRX and RHO are hitting the same MPG with the same driver and driving scenario. I can post a picture of my RHO averaging 22mpg, but we all know that ain’t real life 70mph cruising speeds.

You have your 700hp and glorious sound. Let us have you beat on MPG, 100lbs weight savings, and $30k MSRP! 😂

Having just come from a Power Wagon with the 6.4, I’m guessing the guy pulling that trailer had it pinned much of the time
My RHO absolutely blows it away. Wouldn’t trade it for the sound, personally. I find the HO superior in every way except perhaps the sound (I might be in the minority here but I actually love the sound of the RHO, the hemis I’ve owned were great too, just different) but that is highly subjective. The numbers between the two engines aren’t, and having owned the 5.7, then the 6.4, and now the HO, there’s just no comparison in “feel” either.

after I stepping into the cabin and closing the doors, RHO is so quiet that I won't mind about the exhaust sound anymore. maybe I am too old to care about it now.

I used to miss the sound of the V8 in our Longhorn. But that ended after about 10 minutes in the RHO.

That truck just makes me smile and I love when it stomps on pretty much any V8 truck and seeing the look on peoples faces :)

Silent killer. They don’t even hear it coming! 😂

Single cab Ram Hemi pulled up next to me at a light...it changes and he floors it. I waited about 2 car lengths and then walked his ass. We arrive at another light a few mins later, he looked ahead and made no eye contact. 😬

It feels sooo good, even when it’s the same brand…as the hemi faithful hate on us so much!! :)

I'm averaging 15 mpg in my RHO. In my 21 TRX I was getting about 7 to 8 mpg, calculated off odometer and gallons filled up at the pump. The supercharger sounded so damn good 😊 was always driving more aggressive in the TRX so I was earning that 7 mpg. As for heat soak one issue with the TRX is that the heat from the block would migrate into the supercharger itself increasing boost temps quite significantly. You could buy a spacer kit that acted as an insulator and then you would have to increase your belt size to account for the extra height off the engine but it made a big difference in reducing cooled air temps, holding onto that power longer. I hope they resolve the issue of boost leak as well in the new TRX which would leak boost into the oil galley due to a poor gasket design as shown on FI interchillers site. Check out the link, they explain everything very well if your interested. https://fiinterchillers.com/product/hellcat-trackhawk-blower-spacer-plates/

Sunday, I was making my way home from a remote hiking trip. Along comes a newer Ram 2500 with 6.4L Hemi towing a 25’ travel trailer. As I pass, he hits the gas to move around slower traffic. Wow, such a sweet sounding exhaust note. And, he had no problems keeping up with me up to 80MPH.

Now, I am not the biggest Hurricane fan. A 3.0L turbo engine belongs in a sedan/wagon (see Merecedes E-class…and even that uses a hybrid system & electric turbo to give it a feeling of power). If you feel differently, I respect your opinion.

I’ve got my eye on the returning TRX, but I’m expecting a crazy MSRP. Plus, I’ve owned a supercharged V8 in a hot climate & heat soak is real. Over 85 degrees & the ECU will pull timing when you least expect it. I was lucky to get 300HP out of my 650HP LT5, after sitting in 45 minutes of traffic with 85 degree ambient temps.

So, what’s wrong with putting the 6.4L Hemi in the RHO? Make it a $1995 option. Transmission wouldn’t change. I’m sure some of the electronics & front spring rates would need some development time invested. Plus, they’d need to design a 6.4L Hemi badge for the fender.

I know it’s just a pipe dream, but how many of us would envy & lust after a 6.4L Hemi RHO? Let’s go Ram & do it!! I’d buy one.
Ummmmm, your dream truck was, and will be a TRX !!! Or I guess your looking for a non- supercharged TRX ??!?!?!? Which would probly be not a whole lot cheaper than a TRX :ROFLMAO:

You’re probably correct.

We might find out. Rumors are circulating that 6.4L Hemi may find its way into some of the higher trim level DT 1500s. That could be TRX, RHO, Tungsten…who knows?

I’d have no issues downgrading to a 6.4L Hemi from the Hellcat in a TRX, but it would need to come with a substantial $$ savings. I don’t need 750+HP in my pickup.
