Exhaust tips

Anyone change their exhaust tips? Curious if it makes any difference in sound. I swapped my MRT trail rated muffler section for 2 Borla Pro Xs mufflers. Sounds a little deeper in tone to the MRT trail rated with no highway drone and about a 10% increase in overall volume. 25%-30% increase in volume over stock. Wondering if tips would change anything.

I doubt it. The tips are all 3inch flared out to 5 inch typically. They are also only like 10" in total length so there is not much for the exhaust to pass through to change the sound. All the ones I have seen are not baffled in anyway also.
