Faded AFE filter

I dont understand why guys think those are better than factory. Why would you change your air filter on a brand new truck? To "think" you hear more turbo noise or for 5hp?

I have never used a stock air filter, but maybe the RHO will be a first. I plan on taking a look at the stock filter when I get my truck and if I don’t like what I see, then I will use the AFE Pro Dry S to satisfy my OCD. I’ve partially satisfied it by no longer needing to use an oiled filter for performance

Can’t speak for others, but for me personally it was all about not having to replace the expensive stock filter multiple times through my ownership. Purely a cost savings measure… I have very little confidence a filter has any meaningful improvement in sound or power.
