cool! how much weight can this CF hood shade from OEM one? Here's my next upgrade that came in just in time for the next off road event. A fully functional vented carbon fiber hood! View attachment 19004

May I ask if I should select 10-inch wide sensor for the sunshade? Thanks!+1 on both the sunshade and the splash guards.
If this is the same as the TRX carbon fiber hood, it's not any lighter. In fact, I believe it's a tad heavier.I'm not doing the this for the weight but for the functional hood ventilation. I'll let you know the weight difference this week when I install it.
5 inchMay I ask if I should select 10-inch wide sensor for the sunshade? Thanks!
Even though it is measured ~10-inch wide?5 inch
Only if their "10 inch" is indeed 10 inch width. My order history says I bought the 5 inch. I'm not where I can measure it right now. If you think it's 10, get the 10.
I haven't installed it yet waiting to dyno my truck before swapping hood. I wanted the extra heat extraction from the side vents more than the weight saving. My downpipes are lighter than the oem ones, so it equals out.If this is the same as the TRX carbon fiber hood, it's not any lighter. In fact, I believe it's a tad heavier.
Just received and installed the items. The front pair fits perfectly, but for the rear pair, the holes line up, though the lower inner part doesn’t fit exactly right. It’s still installable, but I'm wondering if I got the wrong ones.
I bought the 5-inch version and just received it. It fits well overall. Since the rear-view mirror console is positioned to the right of center, there's a slight gap on the left and a small overlap on the right. A 10-inch version would likely have a larger gap on the left but no overlap on the right.Only if their "10 inch" is indeed 10 inch width.
Does your 5-inch sunshade fit well in that area? I guess the width should be the same in 26MY.
So do you think one is better than the other? 5" or 10". I don't understand why the word 'sensor' is used. What sensor?I bought the 5-inch version and just received it. It fits well overall. I’ve got the 5" one, so I can’t really speak to the 10" version—that was just my guess. And the word "sensor" isn’t from me, it’s from the product page on Amazon. So do you think one is better than the other? 5" or 10". I don't understand why the word 'sensor' is used. What sensor?
I ordered both the 5” and 10” sunshades to figure out which was best.I’ve got the 5" one, so I can’t really speak to the 10" version—that was just my guess. And the word "sensor" isn’t from me, it’s from the product page on Amazon.
Shouldn't the 10" one have a larger gap on the driver side than the 5" one?The 10” cutout fits around the rearview mirror and rain sensor console much better. Both versions have a large gap in the cutout on the Driver’s Side…
Mods aren't for the next guy, they're for you. Not that I plan on ever selling my truck, but every mod I've done was to make ME happy.I am done. I am not much of a believer in mods as they you get nothing when you sell the vehicle.
