Forged Blue Ram RHO
Current Ride #2
Ceramic window tint 35% on side windows, 5% brow, Mopar power boards, Tri fold cover
I picked up my RHO Monday (3 days ago) from Mark Dodge. Anthony Boi and Aaron were fantastic.

I spent about 30 minutes there but 20 of that was with Ethan ( I think that was his name) showing me stuff about the truck and answering any questions I had. I was hesitant about the color. When I got there there were probably a dozen RHOs in front of the dealership but I know there were dozens there and I heard 50 arrived the day I got mine. I saw every color except Forged Blue and Hydro Blue. I had been back and forth on what color to order but said screw it and went forged blue. When mine was pulled around I knew I made the right color choice. Pictures do not do this color justice.

Coming from a 2020 Ram limited the ride is different. The air ride is the best ride I've experienced. After a few miles I got used to the ride of the RHO and I love it now. It's just different but it's a Baja truck. The cab loudness or lack of is pretty damn crazy. I once tried Toyo AT2 tires on my limited and 2 days later had street tires put back. I hate a noisy ride and the Toyos weren't bad but I could hear them. The RHO is silent down the interstate. All you hear is the engine in the background but as soon as it shifts to 8th gear it's no longer heard. It seems that as long as the RPMs stay under 2k you don't hear it.

It's quick. Aaron said I won't have full RPM until 500 miles and the launch is not allowed until then either. I've been told that's not accurate but I'm waiting until i get more miles on it before I do any 0-60 runs. Even so it's fast. It's super responsive and a ton of fun. I have driven a TRX and this definitely handles better and feels more nimble. It feels a lot nicer on the inside and more refined as it should with the refresh.

The exhaust took a little while to get used to. It's actually pretty loud at start up and when you get on it. It's just different but does sound good when you get on it. Of course it's not a hellcat engine. When you get on it it feels like it wants to eat the road and before you know it you're doing 90 and it just wants to keep on rocketing faster like it's a 5 month dog that just wants to run. It's just fun!

MPG aren't going to win any awards. I've been around 12 average but I'm pretty sure if you baby it 15 would be doable. Honestly it's so fun to drive I don't care.

I got the power boards installed by Mark Dodge. This gives you an actual step that comes way down vs bolt on stationary boards so it's really easy to get in and out. If I park next to someone I can use the head unit to make them stay down to protect from door dings. I have a shortcut on the home screen just to operate them.

The tires sling mud. Today I installed weather tech mud flaps from 797 performance to fix that issue and talk about fast shipping I ordered them yesterday and put them on today. Here's a link to them. https://797performance.com/products/weathertech-2021-2024-ram-1500-trx-no-drill-front-mudflaps The rear flaps are waiting on bolt hole alignment for the RHO before they're available.

Day one I installed the hard tri fold bedcover I used on my limited. Today I got the windows tinted 35% on the sides with a 5% brow. Once I get the hood decal I ordered from Apex auto styling I'm getting it ceramic coated. Once that is done the add-ons are done.

This truck is a blast!

Great write up!

Welcome to the FBM family!!

I was torn between Hydro and Forged.

I'm so glad I went with FBM! I've had so many comments/compliments on the truck.

Awesome write up! Forged blue for the win!

.... however.... the exhaust is still too quiet 🤣

I love how in the top picture the truck looks like a dark gunmetal, but in the sunlit picture it's blue.

Maybe it's just my old eyes, sometimes it looks blue-green to me.

Thank you for the review! I am going to drive one this afternoon. I currently have a '20 Limited Eco, and I have never had a vehicle that I have been so content with. I am sure I am going to need to get used to the exhaust note (last 10 trucks have been v8 or diesel) ,,but the rest of the truck really seems to answer the bell...Btw....My current Ram is maximum steel, this color seems to be very similar and the one I will go with...Also, glad to see the factory power boards can be added, that is a definite as well!

I'm torn on what color to order, would you mind posting a couple more pics of the forged blue and with flaps installed? Thx!

Color looks cool! I'm still undecided, would you mind posting a few more pics of the forged blue? With the mud flaps? thanks!

Pictures don't help much, I recommend going to a dealer and seeing that color in person on another model.

Good luck seeing an RHO in person in the Denver area, ain't happening!

I was so hesitant about this color being I had never seen it. Having it for a week now, if you could line up all of the colors I'd pick it every single time. Well it would be a toss up with the lunar edition TRX color. Sometimes it looks black, sometimes gun metal and sometimes a gorgeous blue.

I'm torn on what color to order, would you mind posting a couple more pics of the forged blue and with flaps installed? Thx!
It's best to try and find one in person if you can. It's hard to capture it in a pic. Pics had me 2nd guessing myself. Seeing it the first time was so different than pics. I'll try and get some tomorrow. It's dirty. I'm getting it ceramic coated next week and I don't want to wash it. I'll let them do it before they do the paint correction. The paint is damn good BTW. Way better than the paint on my 2020 Ram limited.

I told the dealer I want the power boards as well! I always wanted them on my 14 ram sport but never did it. Never thought of door dings so tell me about how to put them down in parking lots? How do you manually do it?
Also since the trucks much higher than other vehicles in a lot would they stick out enough and prevent door dings hitting their door first on the boards instead of the RHO?
That would be awesome if so spending this much on a truck and not have to worry about parking so far away. Being wider than a normal truck parking in lots worry me about the careless person parking next to it.

You can add shortcuts to the home screen so I have toggle button directly from the home screen to deploy them. Super easy.

Anyone familiar with the color Maximum Steel metallic? If so, how does it compare to FBM? My limited is MSM and the pics I see online of FBM look very similar....
