First RHO, First Truck

As for tonneau cover, you have to ask yourself what you plan on putting back there. If safety from theft is important to you, then folding hard cover or solid roll up cover.
As for me I have a soft roll up cover as I don't keep anything back there, so its mainly just transporting from point a to b as well as keeping it dry back there.
I have always used access tonneau covers by Argi-covers for all my trucks with never having an issue or water leaking into the bed.
A lot of guys on here I believe like the bakflip mx4's.
Nice, I'm thinking I'm one of those guys that likes to play it safe, so I'd probably go for the hard cover like you mentioned. Keeping soccer equipment and the occasional golf clubs, and of course tools, cause I'm a man with a truck now. ๐Ÿคฃ

Welcome to the club! I put weathertech mud flaps on, retrax one xr tonneau cover with t slots (plan on adding bars for rooftop tent in the future), and tint. Got an extending wand with microfiber was cloth to make cleaning easier, bought the BMLEI brand off Amazon as recommended by someone on this site๐Ÿ‘
How do you like the Retrax? Any issues or would you buy it again? Just added the BMLEI to my cart!

Seems to be fine, a tiny amount of drainage at tailgate corners is all but in very heavy rains only. Other than that easy install and adjustment๐Ÿ‘

This was a great novel. One of the best reads this year ๐Ÿ˜‚. Seriously, thanks for taking the time for explaining that a little further. One of my next questions was if there was a way to keep it in sport mode, and custom sounds like will do that when you start the engine!

Have you noticed any downsides to adding the tuner?
So auto mode is the default when starting your truck, with no way of overriding it. So once you program your custom mode when you start the truck just hit the right arrow under the drive mode button and you are now in custom mode. Which will show on the dash.
Also when sport transmission is active or in sport mode programed in your custom mode your auto/stop start will deactivate.
As for the tuner I have not had any downsides to it. I guess the only downside will be pulling it out if I need to take it in for any issues. I did notice since installing it my mpg have gone up. I was averaging 12 to 13 in auto, 13 to 14 in sport and with the tuner 15 to 16. I'm only at 8k miles so I don't feel like that it is a breaking in point of the motor, so I think it will get a bit better as the miles add up. I have always put tuners on my vehicles, but it isn't for everyone. The truck is pretty fun stock.

Check out the Lomax covers, had a Pro on my last truck and it was awesome. Not the cheapest, but super slick.
