I love this thread.

I’ll be the first to admit, I struggle to figure out if an oncoming truck is a TRX or RHO, and certainly have no freaking clue if it’s a Raptor or R. Anybody waving it me is likely met with a dumbfounded look as I attempt to sort that out in oncoming traffic. No ill will is intended… I’m just slow.

Full disclosure, I get very self conscious when seeing another RHO or TRX because I can't tell what it is unless Im following them relatively close obviously, but I have this fear that if it is a TRX they will look at my RHO like its a joke. I feel like they should just view it as a "little brother" lol
We humans have our pride, and seeing a truck that looks like a TRX, but is inferior when it comes to SOUND and power most will likely scoff at it.
It is what it is, but that's what goes through my mind when I see another truck on the road.
I love my truck though!

Jesus some guys take this shit way too serious lol It's the same fucking truck with a twin turbo instead of a supercharged V8 lol I know you're probably joking but anyone that makes their car their identity has issues lol I'd think that anyone that buys a trx or rho has some car enthusiast energy in them and could appreciate the differences of each truck.

Only other RHO in my area is a guy who works for department I retired from so he waves lol. Same color too. Bastard! Had a guy in a raptor drive past me while i was stopped at red light and he leaned out his window and said “awesome RHO man”. I was shocked.

Ram did the Ford guys a huge favor by using just letters and not making them try to sound anything out to talk about them

On a related note, I’ve had a few guys go completely nuts over my truck… fist pumping out the window at me, yelling “Hell yeah brother!” Or asking me to rev it for them. I 100% assume they think it’s a TRX when they do this

This past weekend, I was in line at a furniture store waiting to get loaded up, and one of the workers made a bee line right for me. He was freaking ecstatic and asked me if I’d do him a huge favor and rev bomb it for him when I got loaded and ready to go. I kinda sighed and told him it’s not a TRX, and to my surprise he told me he knew and totally didn’t care. He loved the RHO and just wanted to hear it and really wanted one for himself.

today when I pulled into driveway a guy in porsche stopped behind and was asking how I like the truck as he wants to get one too as his neighbor has the same exact used one for sale.. well no, he has a TRX for sale lol, he was surprised to learn this is a twin turbo I6

Coming from a Wrangler back in the day, the Jeep wave was real. Probably got the Jeep wave 90% of the time passing other Wranglers. You would think since the RHO or TRX are true enthusiast trucks it would be the same but I've flashed the peace sign once or twice when passing a TRX but the guy happened to wave back with only 1 particular finger . Maybe he hates the RHO or perhaps I happened to pass him at the exact moment his wife texted him to renew his Erectile Dysfunction medication . But either way I would like to believe we all have a respect for widebody trucks. We only have about 4000 weeks on this earth so I respect anyone living life and driving something fun and not boring. I've owned all 3 generation Raptors and still have mad respect for how good they look. Parked next to a 37PP Raptor and the guy was chatting me up thinking he made the wrong decision when comparing them side by side. Granted I'm on Eibachs and in these photos i was only on the 1.6" front springs before i moved up to the full 2.7" pro kit but both trucks look great regardless.

This weekend a young man came by me with a 5.7 Ram with his kid in the back who was goading him on. So I rolled up alongside as he hit it and i fully smoked him. His kid was gave me the thumbs up . Now that was funny.

Totally agree with you on the RHO vs TRX, they look very similar,

as for raptor vs raptor r, one can distinguish very easily by red accents, especially, grill R emblem

Maybe because the RHO and TRX are the SAME TRUCK !?!?!?!?!?

Some Ford 150 on my tailgate. Came to a stop, when we got green we both stepped on it. It was pretty much equal, maybe he was pulling away a tiny tiny bit, nothing significant. He started to wave and wanted to take a video with phone.
On next red light, I pulled my window and was like:
"Hey pretty cool, what you got in it"( it was a single cab 150 with short bed btw)
"5 O, but it's not supercharged" with huge smile on his face
"This isn't supercharged either. It's a 6 cylinder"
"Really?!!" you could see the smile slowly disappearing. "But it has turbo, right?!"
"Yes, listen to this" and I drove off with some fart sounds

probably ruined that kid's evening, but maybe he's on f150 forum writing how his truck is as fast as trx lol

but anyway, even though RHO is fast, I will definitely need some tune, even though the single cab f150 is like 2000 pounds lighter I don't like it's as fast
