IGLA when getting serviced at dealer

FYI
IGLA is a Russian word for needle and is not an acronym. It is an anti theft after market system designed to prevent theft by requiring a custom PIN code entered via existing factory buttons.
Correct, as in, needle in a haystack and is the reason why we vet and train all shops so it is done correctly. If not they are removed without warning. I have removed over 2 dozen in the last 3 years and another one will be removed in the very near future (not for bad installs)

Absolutely horrible idea. For one anyone can pick them up and drive off with your vehicle, secondly you cannot full access the system, modules ect unless in service mode. Do it the right way, change the pin, show them how to use it, how to put into service mode and have them enter pin when done. Change the pin when you pick it up. Any other way of doing it is going to cause you headaches like them complaining and threatening to void your warranty.

Well let me ask you this. A hand car wash where the guys don't even speak english. They shut the truck off because it's freezing and indoors. They wash it and restart it. I'm supposed to show them how to enter the code and then go change it? Seems excessive. I bought IGLA so I can have peace of mind when it's parked in my driveway at night or when I have to leave it places for work. Any car in the world someone can pick up the keys and drive it away but that's the least of my worries. Just speaking for me personally and what works for me but appreciate the feedback. I will get more familiar with the system.

If you are waiting on it do what you want.

How about just dropping the truck off to the dealer after you already set it into "Service Mode" yourself? I understand that IGLA protection wont be there if you leave it for longer than a day though, but do vehicles get stolen direct from the dealership often?

He’s a pretty swell guy!
He sure is. What a sweetheart. Very thankful for his help in this matter. Ended up getting my corrupted TCM flashed by Witech properly thanks to Josh's help. I'm in Canada and he owes me nothing and he was very engaged in helping me out. I'm very thankful. I did sent him back a small token of appreciation. He deserves more. If anyone has any questions about IGLA he's the man to contact. He'll help you out. Solid dude.

All the time.

Anytime brother, glad we figured it all out

Absolutely, Ronen can and has installed on damn near everything and is responsible for a lot of the scanning, logging and then firmwares.

Josh, @Air’d outSRT, I’m in Houston and will be picking my RHO up in a few weeks. IGLA and Compustar are going to be immediately installed. Had a Silverado stolen a few years back.

Any recommendations for the Houston Area? I was thinking of using Car Security FX in Houston

Perfect choice, Randall will get you taken care of. Fair warning, compustar has been glitching on some. Actually have to remove a compustar setup from one next week because the lights are flickering ect but IGLA is good to go.

I have to jump in here and give a big time respectful shout out to @Air’d outSRT for continuing to provide me with support since. Josh is such an asset to this community, a true gem. He's been available and so helpful since I first made a post 2 months ago. I am in Canada and we have a competing brand that is really just a rebranded igla and he didn't mind at all that I was in a other country, not one of his customers and used a competing brand and he's been endlessly helpful to the point that my install is getting re done by the manufacturer due to a shoddy install by the original installer. Josh was there the entire time being a professional authentic top quality person available to help me. I would strongly encourage anyone considering igla to reach out to him and can say you're in good hands with him. You don't see this anymore today. What a good hearted guy!

Really appreciate the kind words brother, glad something good is coming out of it all. Hopefully the original installer learns his lesson
