What's new

I'm not very happy about the new truck

* Upcoming TRX ($100+K & same build quality as RHO, very similar driving & ownership experience)

Have you driven a TRX yet? I'd go with that dude!

The driving experiences are anything but similar, in my personal opinion.

I know people will argue with me on this (usually people who've never driven a TRX lol) but I will absolutely die on this hill.

TRX feels like an absolute beast in comparison to the RHO. I don't care about the 0-60 numbers etc. On the butt dyno, the TRX feels about twice as powerful.

Like I love my RHO and just made it quite a bit faster with the cat 6 tuner, but it still doesn't scratch the TRX itch. I drive my friends TRX regularly and just starting the engine alone makes me depressed, lol.

Here is the problem - my two local dealerships can't/ won't help because they say the selling dealership should have rejected the truck when delivered by Ram. The selling dealership is 5 hours away in LA. Asking me to do a 10 round-trip for this seems unreasonable.
Gotcha. Our team has just responded to your private message on this as well. Looking forward to a follow-up so we can do some digging.

It's interesting how low manufacturer accountability is when it comes to automobiles.

In my company, on a $100,000 item, something like this would never, ever, ever happen.

Watch some of the videos of these plants- half the employees are dressed in what appears to be their pajamas. They look like they don't give a shit about anything.

Unions are retarded.

Imagine if the manufactures were actually allowed to fire their shitty employees???

I'd be cautious going to any brand at this point. They all have issues. My F-150 with the 5.0 V8 died and need a engine replacement at almost exactly 16k. It lead to a circus of a situation. The tech contacted Ford to get approval for the engine replacement and of course that didn't happen, so they went the cheaper route and swapped a few parts and gave me the truck back. No CEL, but not fixed. I gave them the truck right back. They kept telling me that they "couldn't replicate the issue". I sent them a video that I took of it having the issue, then their tune changed and suddenly he remembered it shifting weird when he drove it. They had it for over a week and put about 80 miles on it and said that they couldn't replicate the issue again. While they had it they put me in a loner F-150, then took that away a few days later and gave me a Maverick then called me the next morning and said that it was supposed to go to someone else. So, they came to my job, took the Maverick and gave me a Bronco Sport. I gave up and moved on from that truck. Decided to go with the best powertrain warranty for now.

I've worked as a union employee and they are full of ungrateful, entitled, degenerate assholes. I pissed off my entire plant when they decided to time study me and I more than doubled the current rate. To my defense, if I would have moved any slower I would have fallen asleep. This wasn't in the auto industry but they are all the same. They all foster lazy ass, uneducated, do as little as you can and cry you don't make enough money or have good enough benefits. Blah blah blah. Replace them with Optimus robots lol.

Nope. Not missing a thing. Two local dealers say they can't help because the selling dealership should have rejected it from Ram. @RamCares telling me they can't help until I bring it to a dealership. Selling dealership - is 5 hours away in LA. Beyond annoying.

Bummer. I feel for you. I too am thinking about moving on. I just dont know where to go - Toyota Tundra, Chevy ZR2?

I have been a Mopar guy since the reintroduction of the Challenger. Owned a SRT, a couple Hellcats, a Demon, aTRX and now a RHO. My RHO ordering / ownership experience has been a challenge.

The most current "lack of two tone paint" on the rear of the truck might just be the straw that breaks the camels back for me. I just can't unseen it now and it annoys the crap out of me.

How TF does that even happen?!

The real question is how TF did you purchase it???
Exactly! No question on that. Accepting blame - walked around the truck for a month and never noticed it. 🤣 Now I cant unseen it.

Did you pay extra for that special edition partial two-tone. Damn, this is wild that the truck went through inspection at the factory, body shop, PDI, how the F was this not caught before it made it to you?!? I am sorry!

Thanks to everyone who posted in this thread. Three years ago I purchased a 2023 Powerboost from a local Ford dealer and had the same problem waiting for parts while time runs out on the 30 day LL here in Florida. I believe the Ram dealership I'm working with would switch the part out if they had it. The problem is Stellantis, Ford and GM most likely have the same procedures and policy's in place regarding how much they are willing to do for you "THE CUSTOMER". There is absolutely no old fashioned common sense that I encountered at the dealership that I'm dealing with. No extra effort, no courtesy call to check on your situation from management, no offer to switch the truck out with another, nothing. I actually got a hold of a sales manager who listened to me and then said he would call me back in 35-45 min and then disappeared like a fart in the wind. We're all just a number waiting in line after line and the employees are just checking the clock and their phones and putting in their hours day after day. WE DON'T F****N MATTER to car companies.

I fail to see the issue with the bed. You made it quite clear you love Canuon Lake. RAM just gave you more of it for no additional charge. If anything I would be upset with the cab.

At lease both sides of the bed match. At this point, we all know there’s an RHO out there with one side two tone, the other side without 🤣

@SATX is this your second canyon lake too? Your first one had a crack in the frame right?
Ram hates me. 🤣 At the end of the day its actually very funny. Ram doesn't catch it. Dealer doesn't catch it. I dont catch it. The annoying part is not being able to find a dealer who is willing to fix it.
