Is this a forming split on the body of RHO?

If I find it on mine and all are identical...it could be a press issue with the dies...but if it is a crack... I will just drill a hole at the visible end, weld it and call it a day. There is zero benefit to replace the panel....

Chris

now I really have to check mine

keep us posted guys...not acceptable for sure cracks being in the body...you got me wanting to go back under my truck and double check lol! By the way...this will not be RHO specific...EVERY SINGLE 2025/2026 Ram 1500 has the same body on it.

You just won a free follow-up video. Get to work.

I spoke to Carguyonline he has a 26 Rebel he crawled under his...exact same spot...black line adhesive no crack. Its on the surface, I told him to make a video short on it. I also am planning to stop by local dealer tomorrow and see what they have on the lot.

Excellent, and thank you. And thank you for the Veterans Day shout out. So many people deserve thanks, it’s such a huge gratitude to pass. It’s the service members, and even more so, the support. It’s a big deal.

its the least i can do 👍

I guess mine looks a little different than @SATX ’s . It is very hard to tell if it is a crack or adhesive. I need to get a magnifying glass and get a good eye on it, phone zoom only does so much.

Flat head screwdriver should do the trick

I mean like $85,000 and they can't even align the tailgate before it leaves the factory, for example. It's not the end of the world of course, but it speaks volumes about the current state of their manufacturing practices and/or employee moral. I'm a welder and industrial mechanic at a company that fabricates custom machinery and a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to the work I put out or how things are made in general, so instances like this (shoddy build quality) irritate me.

I could never work at the assembly plant because I'd never let something like that leave the factory 😂. It's just not how my brain works.
Totally agree !!! I'm a machinist/fabricator and I'm the same way !! Have some fuckin pride in your work people !!!!!!!

found nothing on passenger side, but found similar on the driver's side.. and yes it's some kind of glue, like the one you glue windshields with

Nothing here.

Yours actually looks like a crack. It was just wild that the rest of us DO have black adhesive in the same place.

exactly.. what would be the odds.. I bet the Ram tech from MI is wrong

Ram Tech says it's a crack. He is not wrong. Regional DM says it's a crack. He is not wrong. The Service Manager at my local dealer says it is a crack. He is not wrong. My Service Advisor says it's a crack. He is not wrong. Not really open for debate - unless of course you think all the Ram people have an incentive to say it's a crack when it's not.
No one is saying you don't have a crack, clearly you do...it was everyone else jumping in with pictures of adhesive. Bad news spreads like wildfire around here bro.

ok then maybe others have crack too and think it's glue.. I'm just saying if all of others was glue and yours was a crack, at the exactly same spot, looking basically the same, it would be weird coincidence .. I don't have the issue so can't tell but it has to be really easy to see if it's glue or crack just going with the finger over it
