MagnaFlow exhaust TERRIBLE

I had the SPEQ installed on my truck a few months ago. I HATE IT. The anti drone technology is terrible and the drone in the cab around 2,000 RPM is enough to drive someone nuts over time. I went to an exhaust shop today to see if they can replace the “tuned chamber muffler” with a real muffler or resonator and they said they can’t guarantee it would work and it could cost me $700 just to do it. Magana flow charges $100 for each of the clamps (need 4) so its like throwing money into a hole.

Does anyone in the NOVA area want to take this off my hands (and give me their factory exhaust)?

Sorry to hear this but anytime ur dealing with aggressive aftermarket exhaust this could potentially be the outcome. Good luck selling the exhaust sir. Hopefully someone else might jump at it. I personally believe on these RHO’s a resonator is a must, the problem becomes it lowers the exhaust note and unfortunately everyone’s tastes are different, I am used to V-8’s and nothing compares to the sound of this engine, of course I am older and am used to a v-8 exhaust note. Having said this I love the performance of the RHO engine but want it as quiet as possible because to me it sounds like a vacuum cleaner. Lol. I know the younger generation loves the sound of their 4-6 cylinders but for me really it’s all in your personal taste, besides I have a fully supercharged 2010 Camaro with all the fancy mods to satisfy my other urges.
