Mopar RHO reusable Air filter video

Hold up, of all the useless crap I’ve read here… this would have been some good info to come across! Can anyone confirm that is true? If so, what’s the benefit of an aFe or this new Mopar one?!
Yes it is made by S&B. I haven't gotten one dirty enough to clean but it appears it would be able to be cleaned.

I kinda agree. Looks exactly like a cleanable one to me otherwise they would have made it with paper like other oem's. That and the price make me think it is cleanable

I'm about to try and clean my OEM filter later this week. I talked to Aaron the sales manager at Mark Dodge and he told me the stock air filter was cleanable/re-usable.
Define 'cleanable'...like blow it out with compressed air?

The alternative option is they’d prefer not to tell us, so when the Mopar Performance Cleanable Filter comes out, we’ll needlessly purchase another one.
haha ya thats true. I have thought all along the OEM filter looks like a serviceable filter yet no information on how to service it.

I was told water mixed with a very light decreasing solution. Sorry for the late reply... A deer decided to jump in front of my truck and i just got her back today from getting repaired. I'll be cleaning the filter this weekend and will report my results.

Any one able to report whether their stock air filters was successful cleaned and re-used (unsure how we ultimately determine effectiveness aside from anecdotal)?

not buying that unless it gives the truck at least 10hp or 5 more psi like the others claimed :ROFLMAO:

I'm pretty sure the OEM in RHO can be cleaned too.. it's some kind of manufactured fabric, so unless it disintegrates when it touches water, it's cleanable. Air compressor, foam and water and I bet it will work as good as new

My thought is if the OEM one is cleanable, I'll buy the Mopar filter and swap when needed. Clean the OEM and set it on a shelf to dry for the next swap. Repeat.

We’ve worked with outerwear’s to create a pre filter for the oems to increase service life. We will test fit these on the mopar ones once they’re available

did anyone figure out if the stock filter is cleanable? I’m about due for a new one by the service interval!

it is not recommended to, we run a pre filter to help extend the service intervals on them.

Yes I just confirmed this week from Ram it is not one you can clean...you can take off and remove dirt but not wash it. Ram told me 30k mile interval...hang tight there is a serviceable one coming out shortly been working with the manufacture for over 6 months now. They have been taking there time to ensure its dialed in before bringing to production. Let me confirm when they are coming out.

I got one from you guys. It fits perfectly and provides total coverage. I use them on most of our off-road vehicles and find that they work exceptionally well at keeping large trash and debris out of the element. Thanks again for getting these going.

Thanks man. Just as long as their “coming out shortly” is faster than the Mopar tuner and digital key, I’ll be interested in one when they arrive.

I would probably trust this one. The dry extendable
