My New RHO Dissapointment

I wanted to provide an update that my truck is getting fixed for $3500 by my local body Bodyshop at RAMs expense.

It is till stunning to me how my truck left the factory with paint defects, the factory tried to cover it up with touch up paint and that my tailgate was so out of line it rubbed the paint on my passenger side.

The dealership that I bought my RHO form has been awesome except that they missed these problems, but I can see how these problems were missed.

My recommendation to all new RAM buyers - check your paint. both hood and tailgate alignments. I am still waiting to get my truck back in a few d

They just dont like Canyon Lake owners. They figured why give a complete paint job to the slowest color

I’ve owned two Rams built in Mexico (both perfect), one Ram (RHO) built at SHAP. The SHAP Ram was a shit-show of defects. If you get a perfect one, you got lucky.

Remember, these are beautiful wide-body pickups that can be purchased in the $60K range. That great value, so some compromises are to be expected.

Its sad that trucks are leaving the Factory Production lines without a true quality inspection before being shipped, and then again at the Dealerships...They know the damage is present, but hope they don't have to perform a professional repair...It's not just the Auto Industry, it's just about any business, I had one of my guaranteed for life upper window sash seals break...Gave the supplier my S/N of the window and they made the custom window free of charge...Went to fit it, only to find the locking mechanism for top and bottom sashes is off by about 10mm on either side...Developing my little place in SC, everything from concrete work to fiberoptic installation has had issues...Working for GE Aircraft Engines for most my life, the two top CTQ's were Quality & Integrity...Seems to me, its a set of terms used loosely...and before any wise as says it, "No I ain't a Karen"

Due to my paint and tailgate problems I asked and received a free 100,000 mile MOPAR extended warranty at N/C.

This will be in addition to the powertrain warranty.

I am happy.

Now waiting to get my truck back - I received the truck 14 days ago and it has been at a tint shop and now at a body shop for 5 of those days so far and I expect to get the truck back a week today.
