This is definitely not the place to complain about wait times… so I won’t start 😂 Actually, my order pretty much progressed right on schedule the whole way. My order was placed Feb 27th and arrived at the dealer May 6th.

First off, I’ll give a shout out to my dealer - Jim Butler in Linn, MO. They gave me a price that beat any other dealer I tried (and I tried an awful lot of them)… so if you’re in the Midwest, it may be worth a phone call if you’re considering a purchase. My salesman was Steve Boeckmann. Hopefully they can help you out. They had the truck ready to go on short notice, filled a full tank of gas, did good for me on trade, and didn’t have any heavy sales pressure for financing and/or warranties.

That said, I’m about 3hrs away from the dealership so I ended up with about 250mi on day 1, which involved a drive back home and a few trips out with the family this evening.

Quick note on that: I averaged 15.5mpg with my 2020 Laramie with Hemi and RHO wheels/tires, and 14.3 with the RHO on the return trip. The average mpg was ticking up the entire trip… so good sign.

I won’t reiterate what everyone here has already said, but the truck is absolutely incredible. I’m very glad to have made this purchase. I was also initially reluctant to order Level1 for a $10k cost adder, but also glad I decided to go that route in the end. I found utility in features I expected I wouldn’t care for, initially.

Some of my favorites today:
- Hands free driving / lane assist. First time for me, and it worked pretty well overall.
- 14.5” display that ACTUALLY lets me use the full screen for maps. Huge upgrade over my 2020 Ram!
- Drive modes definitely alter the feel of the vehicle. They’ll be fun to play around with.
- Rain sensitive wipers, I think, are a must have
- Heads up display - this is awesome, but could use some higher brightness levels when wearing sunglasses.
- Power open/close tailgate
- Sound. I actually like it. I’ve ridden a lot of sport bikes, and this truck is reminiscent of those experiences. Similarities in sound and speed of up shifts, etc. the truck feels and sounds sporty, and it’s a ton of fun to drive.
- Trading in my black truck for a white one!

Things I don’t care for:
- Start/stop. This actually seems to cause my windshield to fog up when sitting at red lights (very high humidity today). Fog leaves as soon as it fires back up.
- Tires pick up a lot of rocks on gravel, and pummel the truck as they do. Running boards are a necessity. I’ll see how the RB20 and ARK splash guards perform in tandem.
- Truck seems to think it’s still on sometimes when I leave the vehicle. 3 beeps and doors won’t lock, though the keys and card aren’t in the vehicle. Will have to dig into this one further.

I did make it into my garage, but tapped the shark fin on the weatherstripping. I put a couple hundred pounds in the truck since then which squated it some, but I’ll have to watch this on an empty tank.

Installs today:
- GoRhino RB20 running boards
- RetraxPro MX Cover
- Tonneau Buddy (my Rambox replacement)
- ARK Splash Guards
- Red tow hook covers

Remember to take the credit card key out of the truck! Usually in the glove compartment or center console

Yup, I appreciate that advice as it would be easy to do, but all 3 were out at the time. I did have the card and a key in my pocket, and I wonder if even that proximity is too close?

Congrats on the wait being over! Glad you love the truck as the rest of us do!

to be honest, i missed your last paragraph about the truck not seeming to turn off. was just a general FYI I had haha. that does seem odd though, I only get those 3 beeps when I leave the truck running and walk out of it

Learned something new today. The HUD displays different content depending on what drive mode I’m in. That’s kind of neat, but I do wonder if I can configure that. I really appreciated the speed limit indicator as I’m going through unfamiliar roads, and I noticed Sport and Baja modes don’t display it.

I'm almost positive it does on mine when in sport mode. I'll have to double check next time I'm driving.

As I mentioned above, one of my favorite things about this truck is going back to a white vehicle. I tried black with my last Ram and man it does look good when it’s clean, but that lasts for about 15mins before dust settles on it. I rarely even washed my last white vehicle, and found myself washing the black Ram frequently. I’m just too OCD for it, I guess.

That said, this truck does have black 2-tone so going white doesn’t totally solve that. You can see the stark contrast in how dirt looks on the two paint colors, though. My black truck would have been a cloudy gray mess after my drive home yesterday, and white still looks relatively clean.

Actually....YES....you CAN configure how you want the HUD to display. There are a number of different options that can be displayed. You'll go into the HUD settings menu in the instrument cluster and then it will allow you to pick different "packs" or customize your own in the infotainment screen. It's really a pretty cool feature! All I have mine display is speed, lane position and current road....just enough information without all the other stuff I don't need....like speed limit. That's in the instrument cluster and I generally only care about the speed I'm travelling....not the limit!

Congrats! I ordered mine on the 28th of February. My order moved from D to D1, back to D now. Still waiting! ;)

Ugh - I’ve been seeing a lot of that for March orders. I got extremely lucky to pass through before whatever factory change occurred to cause this. I suspect it has something to do with the factory going down for a few weeks and engine inventory dried up.

One silver lining - hopefully whatever they’re fixing that caused your delay means yours receives some process and/or hardware improvements to improve initial quality!

At that point I'd be looking at dealer stock and ordering a 2026.

100%! With 26MY open now, there’s no way I’d be willing to go back to the beginning of queue for a 25 right now.

Where did you get the tow hook covers?

Where did you get the tow hook covers?
I just found them on Amazon. There are 100 options, but I think they’re all the same.

They look decent, but they’re pretty fat. A lot better than pulling the hooks off and repainting them myself, though. I did that with my previous truck and that paint showed wear over time from being one of the front most surfaces on the vehicle.

Thank you. Yeah I didn't want to pull them off and paint them either. I appreciate your help!

I'll give them until the end of the month, then I'll assess my options... Most likely I will be canceling MY25 order. The family vehicle that it will replace is having all sorts of issues (100k+ miles), so I don't know if I can wait until 2026. Not sure if any of the current inventory will be discounted as much as a factory order. Just my luck, I guess.

@eltaco ya confirmed it does work in sport mode for me
