It's hard to get an estimate on what is the minimum height is needed. Mine is about 82" so I am cutting it very close. I know the stated height says 81.9" but I kind of want real world examples.

I live just 3 mins away from a Ram dealership and the sales guy said if they ever get one on their lot that we can test it out but I don't see them ever getting one anytime in the near future. Kind of want to know before I go down the road of getting one.

I'll give them until the end of the month, then I'll assess my options... Most likely I will be canceling MY25 order. The family vehicle that it will replace is having all sorts of issues (100k+ miles), so I don't know if I can wait until 2026. Not sure if any of the current inventory will be discounted as much as a factory order. Just my luck, I guess.

Chances are a 26 order will be a month or two behind your 25 order…. And dealers are already matching discounts on 26 here on the forum.

mine is 81”, but there is a little bit of an incline up the driveway to my garage floor, so there’s a bit of a break over angle. My guess is that it’s pretty close to 81.5-81.75”.

I did just go through my parking garage at work which is 7’, and it’s super tight but I made it.

More weird things today.

Walked up to my tailgate with truck locked and key fob in my pocket. Hit the button on the back of the tailgate to open it, and couldn’t get it to drop despite multiple efforts. I pulled the fob out of my pocket and hit the tailgate button twice and that opened as normal.

Next I walked up to my front door and grabbed the handle to open the door, and the truck honked 3x. That one has happened a couple of times now… not sure what is going on.

I saw somewhere in the settings that the auto tailgate can be turned on and off. Not sure it matters but worth checking out.

Yup, there is a way to turn that off, but the power tailgate is a nice feature.

I’m definitely having something weird with door locks, though. Twice now my family has walked up to the truck and got in, before I got there to open it up. I’m either losing my mind, or the lock/unlock has some weird bug. I can’t even think of a time that happened in my last truck, and I’m a few times this week of strange lock/unlock behavior.

Just a few miles away from turning over 500mi on the odometer now.

So far, I’m averaging 14.2mpg. Not bad.

I did my first fuel up yesterday. 30gal+ of premium adds up more than I was accustomed to on my last couple of trucks

I’m absolutely loving this truck, though. I have to say I put way too much thought into exhaust note and comparison to a v8 prior to purchase. I can 100% say I appreciate the stock engine and exhaust sound better than my Hemi. I absolutely love it, and wouldn’t want it to be any louder for me, personally. My only minor complaint is the cold start runs a higher RPM and a bit louder than I’d prefer in the neighborhood. That aside, it’s quiet when I need it to be, and lively when you want it to be!

Are you talking about Google satellite maps in Android Auto, using the full screen there? My wife's iOS and Carplay will put Google satellite maps on the full screen on my 12" screen in my MY23 Ram 2500 HD Rebel, but I can't do that on my phone with Auto Android.

Full screen on the 14.5” Level 1 display with Google Maps using CarPlay off of my iPhone. My 2020 Ram didn’t do this on the 12” display, so this was a welcome upgrade for me.

No worries. That is frustrating how Ram permits this on iOS but not on Android Auto. I have read in the forums from a couple of years ago, that this is a GUI thing on Ram's side and that at least at that time, they did not have any plans to go back and retrofit this.

If I’ve learned anything about UConnect over 5yrs of Ram ownership, it’s that they won’t make any additions to standard features through software updates over time. Best you can hope for is bug fixes via OTA updates to existing features.

Congrats on the new truck finally. So on the garage door clearance not sure if your door has it or not but some or maybe all have a height adjustment so you can raise the door more. So you might check that if your not already maxed out.

Currently my lowest clearance is at the weatherstripping which hangs down from the door header. I have another inch or so of additional clearance from the door itself.

So far, I’m able to clear in all cases, including empty fuel tank with me as the only cargo. It might tap that weatherstripping, but still a ways from hitting anything solid. I also think the suspension will sag just a bit from new, so I believe im in the clear.

Maybe my only concern is what happens if I jack the truck up to do tire rotations. Not sure that suspension will settle back down before I back out, so I’ll have to figure out what to do with that situation.

That is a good point. I did this on my garage door when I put 35"'s on my MY23 Ram 2500 HD Rebel. Just had it travel all the way back so that it didn't add unnecessarily to the height of the garage door entrance.

This is definitely not the place to complain about wait times… so I won’t start Actually, my order pretty much progressed right on schedule the whole way. My order was placed Feb 27th and arrived at the dealer May 6th.

First off, I’ll give a shout out to my dealer - Jim Butler in Linn, MO. They gave me a price that beat any other dealer I tried (and I tried an awful lot of them)… so if you’re in the Midwest, it may be worth a phone call if you’re considering a purchase. My salesman was Steve Boeckmann. Hopefully they can help you out. They had the truck ready to go on short notice, filled a full tank of gas, did good for me on trade, and didn’t have any heavy sales pressure for financing and/or warranties.

That said, I’m about 3hrs away from the dealership so I ended up with about 250mi on day 1, which involved a drive back home and a few trips out with the family this evening.

Quick note on that: I averaged 15.5mpg with my 2020 Laramie with Hemi and RHO wheels/tires, and 14.3 with the RHO on the return trip. The average mpg was ticking up the entire trip… so good sign.

I won’t reiterate what everyone here has already said, but the truck is absolutely incredible. I’m very glad to have made this purchase. I was also initially reluctant to order Level1 for a $10k cost adder, but also glad I decided to go that route in the end. I found utility in features I expected I wouldn’t care for, initially.

Some of my favorites today:
- Hands free driving / lane assist. First time for me, and it worked pretty well overall.
- 14.5” display that ACTUALLY lets me use the full screen for maps. Huge upgrade over my 2020 Ram!
- Drive modes definitely alter the feel of the vehicle. They’ll be fun to play around with.
- Rain sensitive wipers, I think, are a must have
- Heads up display - this is awesome, but could use some higher brightness levels when wearing sunglasses.
- Power open/close tailgate
- Sound. I actually like it. I’ve ridden a lot of sport bikes, and this truck is reminiscent of those experiences. Similarities in sound and speed of up shifts, etc. the truck feels and sounds sporty, and it’s a ton of fun to drive.
- Trading in my black truck for a white one!

Things I don’t care for:
- Start/stop. This actually seems to cause my windshield to fog up when sitting at red lights (very high humidity today). Fog leaves as soon as it fires back up.
- Tires pick up a lot of rocks on gravel, and pummel the truck as they do. Running boards are a necessity. I’ll see how the RB20 and ARK splash guards perform in tandem.
- Truck seems to think it’s still on sometimes when I leave the vehicle. 3 beeps and doors won’t lock, though the keys and card aren’t in the vehicle. Will have to dig into this one further.

That's is Awesome, congrats on the truck. Wish mine was here, ordered mine on March 1st and still scheduled and I live in the Midwest area as well. Dealer told me it went to build stage for April then couple days later went back to scheduled. At this point thinking mine is going to end up being a 26 model at this rate. I ve ordered many vehicles in the past but never had to wait this long. But I can't wait when listening to everyone on here.
