No mud flaps?

Nope...

Spending <$60 on flaps to protect my $100K investment (w/ financing) is worth every penny.
It's not about the money... It's about the look of the mud flaps on the truck

Hi everyone,

Has anyone who has had their RHO for a substantial amount of time not installed mud flaps? If yes, any significant road rash or rock chips? On every truck I have driven, I have never had mud flaps, as I am not a fan of the look. I did spec the Mopar running boards, so that will offer some protection.

I work in construction, so my truck will get muddy at various construction sites, but that will be the extent of my "off-roading". I can live with spraying mud/salt/snow off my truck at the car wash, but more worried about road rash and/or rock chips.

Thanks in advance
I have 14500 on mine and no rock chips other than a small one on the front bumper but could be from bug acid I maintain it regularly with ceramic wax and paint sealant

Weird. That wouldn't be a typical impact interaction w ceramic. Maybe the higher than normal road spray?

Either way, interesting to hear.
That's what I'm thinking, the past couple of cross country trips, I was in the rain for 80% of the time.

I put them on to protect my truck and hopefully the car driving behind me....Bouncing rocks off someone's windshield
is kinda a Dick move...

That's why I am trading it in for my RHO once it comes in!

Also, to squash any rumors, happily married to a beautiful woman and father to a beautiful son.
The Porsche you have absolutely confirms this. LOL. gorgeous

LOL people love to exaggerate this situation so much.

Lol...I guess you will be in the "Dick" category... No exaggeration...
Lol you do realize that half of the soccer mom SUVโ€™s leaving the pumpkin patch this fall will kick up rocks once theyโ€™re back on pavementโ€ฆ Are you going to label them in the โ€œdickโ€ category too for not having mud flaps?

Maybe...

But I'll take a 1/4" of semi-rigid plastic vs. a 6mm sticker...
Youโ€™re still going?

Letโ€™s just agree to disagree lol

Yes

I went no flaps for the first 12k miles. The ceramic coat on the forward section of the back fender flairs is showing signs if degradation...it's the only spot the ceramic is showing signs of wear. That being said, I installed the Ark Micros and it's just enough to keep the shit off the hips, without looking ugly. Also worth noting, the truck has the factory off road running boards, they help as well.

You misspelled...I'll take $40 of plastic over $6-8k of stickers.

I have always been against mudflaps on my trucks because I did not like how they looked. However I kept getting mud and debris all over my RHO doors. I ordered and installed the RokBlokz original black on black mudflaps for the TRX. I will admit, I absolutely love these mudflaps. I think they have actually improved the toughness look of the truck. I installed them with more of an offset towards the outside of the truck. No more mud, no more debris and a great look. (In my opinion). It was well worth the $179.99 I spent for the RokBlokz.
