Now The Gas Gauge Doesn't Work FFS!

So the truck has been working flawlessly except for the hands free dumpster fire which I documented in another thread. Last time I filled the tank (24 gallons) the tank showed full but DTE only showed 413 miles. Over the course of the next 10 days the gauge never moved and DTE still says 413. Took it to the gas station today, put in just under 10 gallons, and nothing changed. So obviously the system has gone TU which is the first time I'm hearing this as an issue. Why am I not shocked?

Since the gauge is electronic I'm guessing its the sending unit or some mystery module but you'd think with a 2 month old truck either the stuff is working or it isn't, so very frustratintg. And as luck would have it I'm about to embark on a 2,000 mile road trip next week so I have that going for me.

Anyone else having this issue and how was it resolved?

My guage hasn't made sense to me since I got the truck unfortunately. It hangs on fullish forever. When it gets to half a tank I go to fill it up and it takes more like 3/4 of a tank sometimes. Its just all over the place. No consistency. It doesn't look like it ever shows an actual full tank either no matter how i fill it. If I let it go till one click or fill to another click makes no difference.

Interesting. I don't recall ever seeing that high of a range on mine after a full fill up.

Doing the math on those numbers you would average about 13.5mpg is that about what you say you would average?

Yup, haven’t hand calculated since it was new but readout says 13.5-14.

Mine does the same. It's almost like it's calculating my driving behavior and then tries to adjust the fuel line to track accordingly. Best I've gotten it to project for a full tank was in the 430s I believe. I imagine once I get my down pipes it will project a full take to be about 225 lol

My TRX was 332 max so you’ll be above that hungry beast.
