No sir. Turns out a salesperson went an picked up the stock unit from the muffler shop before they did the work. The vehicle sold and was being delivered out of town. None of this was communicated to me until I called to go get it. I thought it was done and ready to be picked up. So now I have the muffler just sitting here. I have the AWE 0FG installed on my truck. It sounds incredible, but I'm not sure I need that much sound all the time. I wish these trucks had the button to open or close the exhaust like the Raptors do. I may take the AWE kit off, and pass it on to a "younger person" and install the Magna flow muffler on my truck. If anyone in the Houston area wants to talk about getting an AWE 0FG kit that's only about 500 miles old, reach out to me.

i'm super curious as to how different the magnaflow muffler will sound vs. the AWE kit!

This would be correct orientation. I flipped them.

I opened my valves for like a week and ended up returning to stock. The truck is always just a bit louder and you always hear the engine humming. Not in a bad way but always felt like engine as under load. It sounded good with them open but in a way always kinda made the truck feel like it was struggling more because it was louder under any load.

Maybe I’m getting old but I think factory setup is perfect. Might open up valves again but I think the truck is already 50% louder than any other vehicles on the road

After reading the thread, there's conflicting reports on which direction to clamp them open at, what way did you do yours?

They open to the back, turn the knobs clockwise towards the front of truck.

I ended up clamping mine for a while and it definitely improves sound at low RPMs. I like it quite a bit, actually, but it also gives some drone at highway speeds and is a bit more embarrassing in a parking garage and idling through my neighborhood.

I ended up removing the clamps, but mostly because I don’t trust the clamps to hold position long-term. I had to really crank on them to get to a point I thought they’d hold… just left me questioning what happens if a valve slips closed and can’t overcome the clamps resistance.

I would consider just having them removed if I decide I prefer the sound with the valves open.

Man, I think you mentioned your muffler sounded deeper and louder. I’ve really been thinking lately - I wonder what that setup would be like with the valves still in place.

I really do like the sound of my exhaust under throttle, but it’s too tame at 2k.

It does kind of bother me now that my wife’s Sequoia TRD Pro has a deeper sound to it at idle and low revs.

SilverRHO tried to keep the valves, but couldn't do it...there just isn't any room. You'd have to hear it in person, it sounds really good, even at speed.

I might go that route, just want to hear the valves open first. I want a little more rumble, but also not wanting to drop more than 500 bones on a set up. I'm still hoping Borla or Corsa come up with something good, whenever, if ever they drop a set up so don't want to buy an expensive set up in the meantime.

The clamps are a good way to get a feeling for the sound difference without valves. It’ll sound identical to stock under heavy throttle, but won’t sound like a mini van at idle and low revs. It won’t be any deeper, just higher volume.

I seriously do like the stock sound once the valves open up. I really wish Ram would have made them electronic…

Not sure it would be a setting in the vcds coding. Might need to go into the ecu for that one.
