Paint on gas cover plate

There is NO EXCUSE for this on a $75K+ vehicle. Beyond ridiculous.
And the dealer telling him theres nothing they can(will) do is beyond beyond ridiculous !!! Time to find a new dealer !! :ROFLMAO:

Thats definitely thin paint. Mine was the same on my black RHO. Had mine replaced under warranty. Only noticable in direct sunlight, but was unacceptable. Fuel doors are painted seperately by the supplier. They do not get painted with the vehicle at the plant.

Again - one of those things dealers should be catching/correcting on receipt of a vehicle.

Its not that difficult of a fix - take it off, give it to a body shop and have the painter redo it.

Annoying - yes. Complex fix - no. Total of an hour total time involved and $5 worth of materials.

As a dealer - I would be fixing these all day and submitting the warranty every time for reimbursement. Just makes the product look sloppy and after Stellantis gets 10k or so of these claims - maybe it will catch some bean counters attention. Nothing will ever be perfect on a modern mass produced vehicle - but allowing problematic work to continue to slip out is unacceptable.

Also will add - this is WHY dealers make the markup they do. Part of the role is to be the final QC on the vehicle - just like sales job is to know and be able to demo all the things that make an offering unique.

Wait what ??? the dealership is supposed to show you how all the gadgets work ????? I took me 3.5 months to convince my dealership I had handsfree driveing and another 9 months to make it work :ROFLMAO:

Had the same on my new Serrano Green RHO, took it back to the dealership 1 week after purchase. Dealership ordered a brand new gas cap door and their paint shop painted the new one just right and matching now with the rest of the truck
