Passenger side window issues while going up

Anyone ever had this issue. When I do the auto up on passenger front window it will go up half way and then roll back down. Takes several attempts for it to successfully go up. It only does it about 5-10% of the time.

This was actually attempts 4,5 and success on 6

My 25 had same issue when picked up at dealership. I did the reset and never come back for next 16 months I had the truck.

To reset put ignition to on or run position. Then close window all the way up and continue holding for about 2 seconds. After open all the way down and hold about 2 seconds. Should be done

Was it your passenger side window and if so did you do the reset from the same door that was having the issue or did you do it from the driver side door

Unfortunately I tried that but I will definitely give it another shot

Try also doing it the other way could be down first. I don't remember but always worked on all my rams.

Had this happen to me once after getting tints.

Did you do anything to correct it, or did it just happen that one time and you didn't need to remedy it.

I think mine only happened after tint, but then again I tinted pretty quick so it's not like I had much time for it to have the fault without tint

It hasn't happened again. I think the weatherstripping was squeezing the window, increasing its resistance and causing it to go back down.

had it on other car in the past, the door was bit "crooked" so the power window mechanism thought there was an obstruction

Yes, my truck does this as well. Probably less than 5% of the time but I’ve had instances where it happens 3-4x in a row and I wasn’t sure it would ever come back up! Thankfully it doesn’t seem to be a common occurrence for me, so just another item on my long list of “minor” issues.

Yeah mine typically takes a minimum of 4 attempts when it does it

it happens like 8 times and then i get angry and then it doesnt do it again for like 4 months later on the worst day possible or something like that lol
