PCV Valve Recall

Apparently, I installed my Peddle Commander without enough slack in the wire that connects to the throttle sensor. Everytime my foot depressed the brake, it would pull on the wire and the pins eventually are loose enough to start throwing all kinds of warnings/alerts and I would lose throttle. At least that’s what they’re telling me . We shall see as they are finished with the PCV recall and I’m on my way to pick it up

Also I asked about 3 oil changes and tire rotation for $215 , they got me all set up then it got flagged and the dealership says they dont honor it and have to upcharge it to $420 . Love that.

Went to pick up the truck and they can’t touch the PC because it’s not factory equipment so everything was the same as soon as I started it , alerts and warnings everywhere. Disconnected the PC and still all alerts are on. Shut it off , walked into the service department told them, they say pull it in and we’ll check it out. Go back out , fire it up and everything had cleared except CEL. They said it may take a few cycles to clear everything but we’ll clear it for you. Did that and seems to be fine in the 20 miles I drive it home. I’ll reconnect the PC with enough play in the wire and make sure everything is working correctly when I get a moment. Fingers crossed

Well, woke up to take the rig in for this PCV recall and every goddam warning /service light came on and had no throttle. Had to have it towed . Anyone know the process for getting reimbursed for the the tow. @RamCares ?

So, six days after recall replacement and 500+ miles, I’m have a strange improvement. The auto stop/start seems to be “disabled”. The truck has yet to turn off at any light or traffic since it’s been returned.

Don’t get me wrong, I am not complaining, nor am I going to bring up this “issue” up with the dealer. As the McDonald’s commercial says “I’m loving it”!

Not sure how these could be connected or just coincidence, but LMK if this has happened to anyone else.

I haven’t done the recall yet but my auto start/ stop has not been working for about a month now. I believe the extra battery died and no longer powers start/ stop. I’ll ask service to take a look at it when I take it in for the recall. But I’m also not complaining about it not working

Is the recall for the valve or the hose? Just installed my catch can yesterday so this may be pointless.

“The purge valve hose on your vehicle may become disconnected from the intake manifold or the purge solenoid. This condition can cause an engine misfire, rough running and hard starting. In addition, the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) may illuminate on the instrument panel cluster.”

FWIW, I have had 2 different recalls. One for the purge hose and one for the canister purge tube. They assured me they are different when I asked. I only got misfire symptoms before the second item. Which was after the hose was replaced

Add me to this victim list..... Dropped my truck off on 12/29 for oil change and recalls. Part for the hose popping off finally came in and they got it done today. Picked it up and it was driving great, stopped at a stop light and lost power and misfires

Was able to limp to a gas station, popped the hood and sure enough, the hose had popped off. Pushed it back on and started it up and was running normal, took it back to the dealer and dropped it back off.

At least I got to drive it for 20 minutes after not having it for 3 weeks.....

About 8500 miles on mine and had it since May, didn't have any issues until the recall to fix it

@RamCares - tagging for visibility to another recall part failing.
