Something I just noticed on my window sticker since it populated was, "Performance Brakes" listed for the RHO. Has anyone really taken a look to see what kind(if any) of brake upgrade we get over the other Rams? I highly doubt we get a nice 6 piston setup or something, was just interested to see if they're actually different than say a Rebel.

Funny you ask this, I was considering asking the same. Part #'s will tell the true story but if I had to guess, the RHO probably has a higher performance pad compound and that's it. I can confirm the rotors and calipers are the same.

Aw, well that's lame. Can't put anything past manufacturers to market things into the window sticker.

What were the TRX guys upgrading to?

There are a few options out there for the TRX, but most caliper upgrades involved going to at least a 20” wheel and costing a few thousand dollars or more. I am guessing the RHO will be the same story.

Many just go with better rotors and pads (vs OEM).

IdealRace will be working with Girodisc to make some very nice 2 piece rotors for the RHO. I’ll post back here when I can share some more details.

The rotors & calipers are the same as what? A standard Ram 1500 crew cab?

The front calipers are 2-piston sliders…quite large…almost look like they could be for a commercial box truck, or similar.

Yes the same as a standard 1500.

Too bad these brakes won’t fit the RHO. Don’t know what they are, but they’ve gotta be better. They might fit with a 20 inch wheel. Looks like there’s a little bit of room between the rim and the caliper.

The SRT engineers at Ram Event yesterday told me they needed 22 inch wheels to clear these new brembo brakes on the track package 392 and SRT version. They are massive in person!

The rumblebee brembos? Maybe bolt on? Or would we need to run a 20” wheel?

22 inch wheel, alcon has a six piston out now that fits behind the factory 18's

Alcons are $3,500.
I will just do EBC red or yellow.
No there not, DM nick at 797. I'm not gonna say what I got my set for but it was well under 3grand.i can assure those srt brembos will be all of 5grand all day long, probably a 380mm rotor atleast. In my opinion alcon makes a superior product to brembo

I see the fronts - any rear options?

In all reality the fronts are enough, they are made to work with the factory rear setup and factory brake bias. Most high-end European cars run large front big brakes and rears off of the lesser models the high-end cars are based on. ex: audi rs, s cars, many bmw m cars.

Ok Roger. I get the bigger fronts but was thinking more along the aesthetics side - you know - matchy matchy as my kid would say.
