We should do a meetup for sure!Welcome OFFICIALLY to the TRX Wannbes Club!
I kid I kid....
Seriously, though glad you finally got it! We really need to do a DFW meetup soon! Every once in a while I see an RHO. Actually saw a Flame Red today in The Colony for the first time since I've had mine.
As for the rain/snow mode....I used it during the freeze back in January, but during rain, etc. I just keep it un normal AUTO mode and it does fine. I really haven't set a custom mode and honestly only use SPORT mode when I'm trying to do 0-60 pulls or getting in the I-35E Express Lane on my way home from work in Dallas traffic. Horrible on fuel economy but by the time I'm there....I'm agitated and ready to get home so at that point IDGAF.
As for your NAV issues with Android Auto....why not use Google Maps? I have an iPhone but I use Google maps for navigation duties and it's SOOOO much better! AND it does pass directions through to the gauge cluster. I don't need that in the HUD....too much info. Just need speed, speed limit and I have the current road set up but it's tiny and hard to read so I make take that out.
I was using Google Maps via Android Auto and it wasn't passing the directions to the driver screen or the HUD. I will have to try that again. It likely works for iPhone, but not Android. That is the way most of the time.
I really don't like that Android Auto maps only use the top portion of this huge screen. I will prob get a Magic Box or something to resolve that. Need to dig in to see what else I lose with Magic Box...
OEM nav actually isn't THAT bad. I have never said that about another vehicle, but I think that this OEM nav is based on Tom Tom. I am seeing alerts for road issues using it. If it can tag the police then I am good. I just don't think that there are enough RAM OEM nav user for that to be helpful. Google Maps/Waze is a much larger ecosystem....
