Power Increase from a Stop

Have you seen how many wires connect to the pedal? I’m certain the computer has a signal to say when it’s in park neutral or reverse.

Chris
Yes, and none of them tell the throttle pedal what gear it’s in the throttle paddle doesn’t care. The ECU and the transmission do care. and they have communication with each other. On your cat six you were connected to the ECM that is how the cat 6 would know.

I agree 100%. Banks did a video comparing theirs to pedal commander and were trashing pedal commander due to it adjusting pedal in reverse. Not sure if pedal commander ever fixed that
I had the Banks and returned it, while it functioned very well it never went into sleep mode and drained my battery twice. After going back and forth with Banks support and doing the BETA testing firmware, the issue persisted and I went with Roar Pedal.

Well that blows

Roar for the win.

So have we determined the OP is chasing throttle response at the throttle body valve, and not turbo lag?

Roar Pedal works great. Replaced it with a CAT6 which comes with its own pedal controller. The RP gives better tip-in performance from a stop, but CAT6 provides more HP once the boost is up.

OP’s complaint is very similar to mine in another post. But, if it’s purely from a dead stop, I’d think that is much more on the throttle side of things than turbo lag. No engine platform is going to launch from a dead stop unless you already have the RPMs up. Also, from a dead stop, you’re not dealing with downshift hesitation that might otherwise be addressed with a Cat 6.

So…I think Roar Pedal solves the problem in this case. It’s certainly worth a try since it’s a fairly low cost and easy mod.

i had this exact issue too, and they also had me try beta firmwares which didnt work. so i ended up making my own external power breakout adapter for the obd2 port. i already had a 2ft obd2 extension that i had for a previous vehicle that i just cannibalized for this. basically i opened the extension up and cut the pin16 wire which is the +12v, i then made the end that actually has the banks pedal monster get power through the tap wire that i also used for my dash cam so it come on with ign.
you shouldnt have to do this at all ever, but honestly it worked so just kept it like that and no worries of it ever bugging out and not sleeping since power is fully cut now when truck is off. they did inform me i could just disable the feature in app to read data from the truck but this would disable reverse sensing. this way allowed me to keep all features.
i wish i could still use it instead of the diablo sport built in throttle controller, banks has much much better control over the throttle, i have to keep the diablosport at +6 and it still doesnt feel as good as the banks did at like sport 2/3

I don't know how you guys are cranking up the throttle sensitivity so high on the cat6. I finally settled on 1 and it's perfect. Anything more and you rapidly begin to loose the entire usable range of throttle before a forced downshift. Setting 6 must turn the pedal into an on off switch. 🙄

idk i dont feel like its that way with the diablo sport. its almost like they didnt tune the first 5-10% of the throttle only everything after, maybe this is why i prefer the banks? banks i barely had to change it and it felt good, not crazy just felt like the pedal did something... the diablo sports built in one even at +6 the first few percent isnt changed it is hard to explain.

im kinda confused since these guys have apps why not give us an actual curve we can modify to our liking, kinda like how pc software allows you to make a custom fan curve.
