Probably jumping ship

Unfortunately I think the whole bring back the hellcat & V8 cry’s became a distraction. Had they not switched course and went backwards I feel like they would have been further along. Time wasted bringing the TRX back on the Atlantis architecture along with all the other V8 Hellcat powered trucks has taken up time and resources necessary to perfect the new platform. They will get it refined they have to, but with a couple year delay. This is probably why the rumor of a tune also disappeared.
Yes I will probably catch some backlash for saying it but it’s just my opinion.

CarPlay- not connecting, dropping connection, UConnect restarts.

Driver Assist-kinda ping pongs slightly going down the lane, especially on sweeping turns, very quick to beep at you if it thinks you are not looking ahead, sometimes no matter what I do it doesn't think I'm looking ahead when I am. Gets close to cars in next lane when hands free driving. Cannot negotiate sharper turns (not not crazy sharp). Other vehicles I have driven the lane centering is sharp. Some of this maybe be due to the size of the vehicle and suspension. It works and if you hadn't been in better implementations you would think it is great.

Fair enough. Sounds like par for the course with my Rivian software and driving experience. Do the autonomous features also have random disconnects for no reason? Rivian's Gen 2 might do a really sharp turn, then tell you to take over for a turn on a straight road. Tons of random errors and disengagements. When they used the MobileEye stack that Gen 1s still use, it was much better; I'm betting this is what Stellantis has, as it's available for purchase, and lots of auto makers are using it.

When Rivian switched to their own system some of it is better, but a lot of it is worse now. Somewhat in the same way you describe, that they aren't major things all by themselves but add up to be annoying. It sounds like from a tech standpoint the RHO is a lateral move.

Is yours a L1? @zanez looking for a 26 L1

I am afraid you might be right.

Thankfully any hiccups Ive had have been minor. Biggest was connectivity with android Auto but thanx for the help by another user (wish I remembered who) I was able to solve that issue by turning off the auto updates in uconnect. Yeah gas mileage isn't great but anyone who buys this truck for milage is very confused. Plus milage is the same that I got in my previous truck. Fingers crossed my experience stays as positive as it has been.

Every car/truck might have some issues, but some have more quality control and RAM would all be good if the customer service and support was better too.
Look at all of us with faulty clusters, it literally took months and months to write the software patch. There are consistent repeated issues that don't seem to be solved. Dealers are hit or miss, you never know what you are getting, same as with the trucks. Customer's truck is being grounded for faulty parts that are on backorder because there are "no spares" but company keeps building hundreds of these trucks every day.
I understand the whole company trying to step into the more luxurious segment with these expensive trucks and SUV (wagoneer etc) but their customer care and service is still staying back in the Dodge Neon era

Agree. My MY25 Level 1 has been great sitting at 12,500 miles.

Yes. It sorta reminds me a bit of Hyundai and Kia. They are attempting to compete with the luxury car brands with some of their models. Those models are priced very competitively and are feature packed but the build quality isn’t there. Again, not terrible, but they have to save money somewhere to offset the cost of the higher end features. I think they sacrifice in build quality and customer service. Buyers dont experience either until after purchase.

Ram is kinda in the same boat, but their tech just doesn’t consistently work across the board and it should. Some stuff I get, like you got a bad batch of components, but other issues have me scratching my head. Jeez, they are all built the same and most of us are not messing with the electronics so why do some people have problems like CarPlay, Uconnect restart, and others don't? Why is the stupid unlocking with phones such as slow piecemeal rollout? I kid you not, my wife’s BMW has that feature and it took her 30 seconds to set up and another 30 seconds to share digital cards with myself and my son. Shoot, the newer generation BMW’s are only coming with one key and the other drivers need to use their phone. That might be a bridge too far for me, but it shows the confidence in function and reliability of their systems. I am not a BMW fanboy as other manufacturers have the same things, but I am a fanboy of rolling out a well though out and designed system.

I give kudos to Ram for trying. They have a lot of good going for them but too little too late for me at this point. These are all my opinions, but I formed those opinions after having owned or driving many Mopar vehicles over the last 30 plus years. I drive lots of different brands at work and through rentals and I have to say these last two Rams (2022 and 2026) were some of the most annoyingly problem prone vehicles out of the lot. Caveat-nothing mechanical ever with the engine or powertrain.

I guess I am just lucky, her issues with wireless CarPlay. I do not use Connect.

just curious... are the carplay issues coming from wireless carplay or being plugged in as well? I don't have an RHO so I'm not usre if they even have the "plug in" method

You can plug in but I was mostly wireless. It was so inconsistent I have never been able to develop a pattern to point to a cause. Others have offered fixes but they were mostly hit or miss and never were permanent fixes.
