RHO Disaster?

Ive had my 26 rho for 2 months. 4k miles. So far no issues. Not even carplay or android auto issues. My coworker with a 25 sierra at just blew his motor.
Great point...we just don't know.
I really like the RHO and so far so good.
When I bought my Power Wagon 6 years ago I took the same chances.
One thing that has grown on me is the Hurricane engine, really impressive so far.
I base alot of my emotions on reading challenges others have had and it makes me question buying it when in reality....any new vehicle from any brand can have issues and I believe GM/Toyota issues are much more severe.

It definitely is a gamble. Two things I took into consideration is the engine design, being a straight six which has "historically " been a reliable design (2jz, Cherokee, BMW, etc) and the 10 year/100k warranty. I wasn't really worried about the turbos longevity. Ive got a 30 year diesel defender with the original garret turbo. I think it just comes down to maintenance and understanding how turbo engines operate.

Hello,

I am going to buy my final truck before retirement, so this is the last new vehicle I will probably buy. I was going to get the 2027 ZR2 (I even get a GM Employee discount), but after reading about these and seeing one on the road, I REALLY like this truck. I know a forum can be where people who are mad go to post about it, but there seems to be an AWEFUL lot of mad people on here. I have a 2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, that forum is similar, but I have never had any issues with my Jeep.

I am concerned I will be plunging into a service nightmare. I NEED this truck to get to work and back, I do not really have a spare care to use for months on end. This truck is already a stretch, but I figure for my last hurrahs I should get exactly what I want this time. I have owned a LOT of vehicles and have had very few nightmare versions. Would you buy yours again knowing what you know or would you choose something else?

I APPRECIATE your input!

To be honest I will take the RHO over any truck now. We still have some issues but nothing like the ither brands. I came from a 2023 AT4X with a lot of issues and the final puch was the engine. All this with only 12K miles and 2years old.
So far with the RHO i haven't had any major issues. I had it for 1 year so far with 8K miles.

I traded in my 2022 rebel for my 2025 rho a little over a year ago. Definitely was in my opinion a huge exterior and interior upgrade since I got the lvl 1 package. Sound from factory is a bit of a bummer but it’s fast and there are parts on the market to help.

Biggest thing that I ran into with mine is I got a faulty transmission. 2 weeks into having it ( was not doing anything crazy) just driving down road heading home from work all the sudden loud thud, couldn’t get it to go faster than 15mph. Had it towed to the dealership and they replaced the whole transmission. I asked if it was something I did and they said it was just a bad transmission. Luckily for warranty so didn’t cost me a thing.

All around I love this truck and have been having a blast. Just make sure to cover yourself with a good warranty incase of freak mishaps
