RHO reliability

I really enjoy driving this truck. Had a ‘25 with a couple of battery issues during 6500 miles of ownership. Traded it in for the ‘26 to get the extended warranty and no issues. Even being stuck in traffic is not much of an issue, turn on those massage seats and relax. CAT6 is the icing on the cake.

I picked up my ‘26 level 1 Canyon Lake in January. 5000 miles so far and it has been perfect. 4.5 seconds 0-60 routinely. Really surprised me off-road with its capabilities. My buddy with a Raptor R wants to get one as the interior on the Ram is far superior. He keeps having excuses not to race me even though I’m sure he would pull away after he gets traction.

If my RHO had been reliable, it still had its issues. Primary among them is the HO Hurricane…sounds terrible & non-existent torque from 1500-2400 RPM, which is where I drive 95% of the time. Suspension tuning is not up to Raptor quality. And, the width of the truck is a pain at times.

Beyond that, it’s all good. Really. It’s a beautiful looking truck…very masculine with its wide fenders. Interior is comfortable, feature-filled & looks great. Price is right, especially with the massive discounts.

I’ve owned plenty of vehicles over the years that looked fantastic, but had compromises in driving quality. Most lasted less than 2 years in my garage. But, can’t say I regret owning them. They were all an adventure, in one way or another.
My solve for the low boost at lower RPM is Baja mode, only way to drive it around town.

Even Sport mode you will be above 2400rpm ...My truck was down shifting at 3500rpm and upshifting at 2900rpm...I was never in that dead zone people complain about...If stellantis could drop this engine in something that weighs 3800 lbs

All you need is a DS. Problems solved.

I am looking at picking up a 2026 level one RHO. There seems to be a lot of talk of all the issues and problems people have been having with their 2025 and 2026 trucks.

Can anyone share some good reviews on this truck. Has anyone put a good amount of miles on theirs with no issues at all.

Is it worth picking the truck up, or should I stay away from it due to the reliability issues?

Thanks
I have had my 2025 Level 1 for just over a year now and standing at 11,200 miles. Other than minor UConnect box errors (just press “ok” and motor on), it’s been trouble free.

We’ve taken it on long road trips, puttered around town, and wheeled it in the mountains - no worries.

Most issues as noted previously are electronic and/or related to a bad batch of batteries Stellantis got in late 2024 to early 2025.

CAT6 makes it run like it’s supposed to!

I would buy again!

Buy it! I think the inline 6 is a great engine, sounds nice under throttle and I-6 has much more potential than the V-6 of the Raptor. Its more a refined European feel. Nothing will ever replace a V8 feel and sound for those diehard muscle car guys...just like a V8 won't satisfy those diesel guys but personally I like the hurricane and how it feels & sounds, its comparable to the twin turbo I-6 BMW engines. The interior is 1,000 times better than F150 and it'll smoke an F150 Raptor with the 3.5 liter. I averaged 15-16 mpg over 12,000 miles with a 2026 LvL1 with no issues other than paint defects from the factory. I'm on RHO #2 with 1,800 trouble free miles. Make sure you check the paint over in detail before purchasing!

2025 Level 1 here... when there's no issues, this truck is super nice! LOVE it so much. But when there are constant electrical issues, I do get annoyed. It makes me nervous for the future really. Delivered in February 2025.

Timeline of issues and repair history so far:
- March 2025 – Multiple electrical warning lights began appearing, including the AEB (Automatic Emergency Braking) system. The dealer attempted diagnosis but was unable to determine the issue at that time and advised they would need to keep the vehicle longer. Because this is my only vehicle and no loaner was available, I had to take the truck home.

- June 2025 – The truck was completely dead and required a jump start through roadside assistance. I immediately brought the truck to the dealer, where the battery was replaced. The vehicle remained at the dealership overnight for a battery swap and "diagnosis."

- August 2025 – During an oil change and tire rotation visit, I again requested diagnosis of the persistent AEB warning light, which had remained active since March. I was advised that the issue could not be resolved at that time and that the master electrical technician was booked out.

- November 2025 – A relay/module was replaced, which temporarily resolved all of the electrical issues.

- March 2026 – The trailer module recall was performed. Following this repair, the electrical issues returned intermittently and progressively worsened over time.

- May 2026 – I brought the truck back to the dealer for recurring electrical issues involving safety and driver assistance systems. The truck remains at the dealership. It's been 51 hours so far and counting. I was informed that the dealer had already reconfigured all modules and opened a STAR case with engineering because the issue still has not been resolved. I have not been provided an ETA for repair completion, and no loaner vehicle has been made available.

I put it on

25’. 13K miles. Level 1. Not a single hiccup. I am tired of defending this damn truck. Any more I put it on others to make a claim that other current offerings are more reliable. Ford & Chevy 10spd trans? LOL. Chevy/GM 6.2 V8? LOL. Toyota Tundra V6 TT? LOL. Ecoboost V6 TT F150 Raptor? LOL. Bronco/Ranger Raptor TT? Respect (still attached to 10spd trans). Sure…electrical glitches are annoying. I would accept that over powertrain failures. You can’t fix a spun rod by cycling power.

S

do you still have your RHO, what issues did it have other than the lack of low end torque
Electronic faults that put the truck in the shop for over a month because the dealers didn’t have wiring schematics for the new Atlantis (Fiat) electrical system & they had to rely on remote diagnostics, which resulted in waits for backordered parts that ultimately were not the issue.

Plus, several build quality F-ups in paint & body areas, plus scratched window glass on the inside of a rear window. They claimed my tint shop did it, but that window was not even tinted.

If you are ok with the Raptor interior, it’s probably the better truck, though I’ve never personally owned one. Not a Ford fan. Plus, our local Ford dealer is a den of thieves.

I switched from a RHO to a Raptor.

Bottom line, after many electrical and software issues, I no longer could trust the RHO. I jumped to a Raptor after about 6-7 months of the RHO. THAT SAID, I personally liked the RHO more. If it didn't have so many issues or if it didn't fee like the wild west when trying to get things fixed, I absolutely would have kept it. The RHO is much more of a thrill to drive (at least to me) then the Raptor.

However, this is my daily and I can't be going to the dealer 1-2x a month for a new $80k truck, or risk the car randomly not shifting into gear. The Raptor has been flawless for me and any issues I have had (all truly minor recall bs that never actually affected me) were quite literally fixed almost immediately through OTA updates.

If you have a second car/truck to drive and if you are ok with a less proven platform, the RHO is more of an experience to drive (normally). If you offroad, go with the Raptor.

I have owned two Raptors in the past. Very solid truck. I just don’t want another V6 TT engine. The Raptor R is a lot of money, and a gas guzzler with the 720 HP V8.

The inline 6 in the RHO is very enticing, just seems to have some early model corks to work out.

Love mine but they need to get the infotainment / digital key sorted out with an update asap.

25 with 24k miles. Only issues were fixed quickly under warranty. Little paint fix on door by dealer before i picked up, driver door re aligned and the oil laser sensor was replaced but the dealer thinks it was really their people screwing up the reset process. Otherwise, amazing. I smile driving it everyday and hope it lasts me 200k miles. Do wish i had the 100k warranty though 😂

I've got a toyota tundra (with the 5.7). I'm going to hold off on getting anything new whether it be raptor f150, RHO, or something else. Knock on wood, that 5.7 has been flawless (but MPG is horrible on 35's), and since it hardly has any new tech in it, it's been pretty good. I will say that if I do decide to get an RHO, I will be getting the Mopar extended waranty that covers electrical stuff past the 3/36 warranty. I think the engine is solid.. just the electrical stuff scares me

I have a 2025 with 16K miles and love this truck. As far as issues here is the list:

1-I would randomly get an error requiring shifting in to P while at stoplights. The problem resolved itself after a software update.

2-when closing the sunroof it would randomly close and then tilt. Problem happened 3-4 times and never recurred.

3-when using the autonomous driving feature, it went into a full on panic stop for NO apparent reason on I-95. There was no one in front of me.

4-occasionally CarPlay doesn’t want to connect. (But I have had this with other brands).

Short list.

Regarding #3, I still use the feature but am cautious about it. I use it mostly in stop-n-go traffic. Works perfectly in that scenario.

I was experiencing #2 with my sunroof for a few weeks (2025 Ram Limited) and then passenger window wouldn't auto-up or down. I tried the solution online to fix the passenger window (put the truck in "Run" mode (engine off), lower the window completely and hold the switch for 5 seconds, then raise it completely and hold the switch for 5 seconds) and it seems to have fixed both issues.
