Or just use a different drive mode
The problem with drive modes, just like the stupid autostop switch is they dont remember the last used setting and always revert to normal mode. So every time you get in the truck you have to change the mode and/or turn off the autostop. Which is pretty stupid.
It is mostly just an annoyance, but with all the setting options etc in UConnect, it should be that you can set some features to stay in last used state, but Ram didnt do this, so we have to come up with work arounds.
Some of the settings I see on a tazer, or that I think should be available in stock form.
Changing the TPMS to either turn it off or adjust the alert pressure. This is an offroad truck, everyone lowers pressure off road, and then the system constantly alerts of low pressure. Its really stupid that it is not a standard feature in a truck like this.
Turning off the autoStop, now that that stupid feature is no longer required, there should be an update, to fix the issue, so it remembers you last switch position.
Drive mode, This one is also really dumb that it doesnt remember your last mode. I have driven other vehicles with multiple modes and they all remember your last used setting, so you dont have to change it every time you get in the truck.
power controls for aux wires 5 and 6, for those with level 1 and only 4 switches. apparently they just make those dead instead of being ACC/Batt powered, as was supposed to be the case. Putting them in the way they should be with settings to control if they come on with the ACC or with the Battery, just like the aux switch wires would be easy and should be standard. But from my research this was the way it was supposed to be.
Being able to change the HUD in Sport mode to something actually useful would be nice to.
Those are the ones off the top of my head, but I know there are more. All the settings and all the customizations in the system but these seem like no brainers. I know there are a couple other things I have hunted for in UConnect with no luck, but I cant think of them right now.
