Running Boarda for Kids -RHO

I just got my 2026 Ram RHO. It's has the rock sliders on it, but I have a 7 and 4 year old. Way too high. What side steps/running boards are good for kids but won't get caught off road and don't look stupid. My truck is green.

Are they low enough for kids to get in easy. I had seen some after market ones with drop steps but they are goofy looking

They might be. It’s a standard height, lower than the rock sliders. We have a member here that also has a rope in the back the kids can pull on to help get up as well.

Yea, but another thing to break. I'm in mine sites and job sites all the time. Last thing I need is them getting plugged with mud and not working. They are tall kids I think those look good and the rope idea is good.

I had a ZR2 with a lift and they got in that ok. Until the 6.2 exploded.

I have the off road running boards. They are much wider than the rock rails but the tops are 18 inches from the ground, I would imagine about the same as the rails.

I have the RB 20 and my 3 1/2 year old ( 3 foot 3 inches ) can climb into the back seat, although with difficulty. He grabs the door pocket and the door latch to yank up onto the board, then the overhead grab handle to hoist himself in.
