Stealth Matte PPF

I have been wanting to do the same but my cheap ass won’t pull the trigger.
Do you mind me asking ballpark figured paid? I have quoted from 6K to 10K range.

Is your truck GCM? Mine is and absolutely love the way the PPF turned out. The prices are all over the place. Find someone that does cut corners and rushes the job. My guy took off everything he could to wrap all corners. I let him have it for two weeks to take his time. The only place I have had a problem is the door handles. Price shouldn’t be your main concern over them doing the job properly.

I only mentioned that aspect because the OP mentioned it. I know the whole point of PPF is to protect the paint and keep the vehicle looking brand new.

Yes but like I also said, I did not pay 8-9k... I paid much less. I know I am not getting 8k extra on trade in. Probably not even what I paid. But even if the difference is 2k after trade in and it stayed looking great for my preference on chips, that was worth it to me.

Also, side note. I had my truck broken into 2 weeks ago. Smashed my window. Scratches on the door and door handle from their boots. But, it only scratched the PPF. The paint was fine. Without the PPF I would be paying to have the entire door repainted. Instead I am out a few hundred for a new layer of film. Saved my ass from a lot more. New window, re tinted, new PPF and still have to have the rubber seals around the window replaced from their tools destroying it. But not having to repaint an entire door is a releif.

To each their own. I did not post to show off or tell people what to do with their money, just thought some guys would like the idea as I am yet to see the matte look on here. I was also very up front that I did not pay the 8-9k. I also would not have done that myself. But wish I could be in that position!

Seems like an accurate quote to me! 6 would be a good deal for an entire truck. I was told 8-9K in the stealth from my buddy that did mine. I paid the friend price though..

Nah I am Forged Blue. I was going to order GCM but wait was too long and I needed something so FB was my next pic and I love it. The matte really made it pop too. I think yours looks great! and agree on who does it. A lot of guys to cut corners, I trust my buddy he works on a lot of high end vehicles and knows his stuff. Plus any issues, he will take care of it so win win. Cheaper is rarely better..

I didn’t but now thinking I may. I live in a very good area, but park at Milwaukee and Chicago airports a lot. They just smashed and grabbed a few things. Didn’t find my gun thankfully.

Definitely looks good on the Hydro Blue.

Funny.. well not funny but I had the same thing. My driver's door was misaligned from factory and "popping" on the fender when it was hot outside. Never happened at night or day. Had to get the paint fixed and realigned and all fixed. Waited to fix that until I got my done too! Only issue I have had so far @ 20k miles

That's much cheaper than the Xpel shops in OKC area. I was quoted 10k for both at one shop and 11k for both at another shop. The one that quoted 10k also said they would throw in free window tint which is only like a $600 value. So you got a much better deal. Was yours Xpel or Llumar?

My detail shop used Optek and CQuartz ceramic. He’s done this on 4 previous vehicles and it holds up extremely well. My understanding is Optek is of equal quality, just doesn’t carry the name brand.
