Tint %

Is the factory tint for the back windows ceramic?
No it is not. The glass is dyed.
So, if you want the heat rejection properties, you'll need to get the ceramic on all glass, regardless if you want tint or not.

If you just want front windows to match rear, you can get 20% tint on them.

I know a lot of us talk up the ceramic, but it's totally legit! I live in Ohio, where we don't have brutally hot summers like the guys in CA and TX. But where it really shines for me is the fall and spring. There are plenty of 60-65 degree days where it's not hot outside, but driving down the highway in the direct sun, the cabin gets too warm for me. The ceramic tint really helps in this scenario. Where I'd previously be turning on the A/C in 60 degree weather, now I'm not. Of course it helps in the summer also. Of course you need to use the A/C when it's hot, but the ceramic really helps keep some of the heat from bleeding in.

OH what I wouldn't do for some of those right now! It was -14 when I left for work yesterday morning. 🥶

Ha! We are getting a high temp in the double digits today for the first time in a week! LOL. Lows below zero every night for the past week.

20% matches everything fine for me!!

I just dropped my new truck off this morning, I'm doing 50% on the back windows, sunroof, and windshield with 15% on the front windows. The back windows will end up being slightly darker than the front 2. This is the same that I did on my last truck and it turned out perfect.

For anyone that has not done the sunroof, I highly recommend it. I'm in Florida and before doing it you could feel the heat radiating from the shade, after tinting it is much cooler from the sunroof.
