Interior very much feels like a Toyota. They don’t try to wow you with fancy materials in the TRD Pro. It looks well built and rugged, but doesn’t scream luxury. I suppose their customers prefer it that way.
I really do appreciate the switch layout for things I typically operate in the vehicle. HVAC, seat heat/vents, camera, etc. I’ve gotten used to fumbling around for all of that stuff on my Uconnect, but truth be told I very much prefer a physical switch for those.
The infotainment layout to me is really good. I like the horizontal display and layout quite a bit, surprisingly. CarPlay works well and their navigation is also better than Ram, IMO.
There is WAY less vehicle customization in their infotainment. The cluster graphics are lackluster and super confusing why they make so many vehicle customizations accessible thru the cluster instead of the massive 14” screen. Those are mostly one time settings, so I have to pull out my manual or use some creativity to discern what LCA, RCDA, BSM, etc means. There’s absolutely no way my wife will know those acronyms.
Overall, I like it a lot. I’ve turned needy now that I have heated and vented rear seats and massaging front seats in my RHO. You can get all of that same stuff with the Sequoia but not in the TRD Pro package. This one feels much lighter on options compared to a Platinum or Capstone, which are pretty well appointed. We preferred the tougher look, suspension, resale, and lack of chrome on the Pro.
