TRX IS RETURNING

To me this makes more sense than a 800hp 6.2l supercharged.
Ram said they were bringing back the hemi. I did not hear bringing back the hellcat. When they say bringing back the hemi, I’ll bet they are referring to the 6.4.

There is potential that they put the Cat-X motor in the new TRX......

Nah, go big or go home put in the Hennessey 1000

I disagree - but also reserve the right to be wrong. They have a quick, bad ass daily driver - the RHO. If it's gonna have 800 hp (or more), it needs to look and feel like it. Our 6s will never elicit the emotion of the TRX and anything with 800 hp NEEDS to be emotional/an experience. No exhaust will ever make our RHOs sound/feel like a TRX - and no one will pay 120k+ IMO for something that doesn't deliver a far more intense experience.

yeah lets put an engine from one of the worst tuners that doesnt even make 1000 hp it claims in a factory truck..... LOL. not gonna happen. Likely a catx, hopped up hellcat (demon) or a hybrid similar to e-ray if i was a betting man.

This just hit me and i giggled a little. TRX -> RHO -> Hellephant. They already got the name on the engine.

I agree 100% with this...BUT if you want to convince customers of how tough the Hurricane is it would make sense from a marketing perspective to lean into it if its that capable. $100-110k 800-900hp RHO+ would be sick.

I still struggle with whether people would pay that. My analogy is a Tesla or Lucid. Why do people pay more for XYZ sports car even though the Tesla is quicker? Because of how it makes you feel when you drive it. I like the RHO, but no inline 6 will ever illicit the feeling/emotion of that V8 and supercharger whine. That IMO is what people are paying for - not the 0-60 per se but the emotions it stirs when you do it.

I personally am much more impressed with a quick vehicle that is not obnoxiously loud than I am with one I can easily hear over everything else weather I want to or not. Someone flys by and you didn’t hear them coming. That’s impressive.

For me, it's not about the impression anyone else is left with. I have an aftermarket exhaust on my C8 Corvette - and smile every time it burbles and pops when I decelerate and the amazing noise it makes when I accelerate. I would want that sound if there was no one else on earth to hear it - and it definitely makes me smile more now than with the stock exhaust. On the flip side, I like and enjoy the peace and serenity of my wife's Wagoneer when I'm in it. But again, that's more of a daily driver and not something that I drive to make myself smile. It didn't cost 120k and it doesn't go 0-60 in 4 seconds either. To me, vehicles that look fast and are fast should sound fast. Otherwise, I would own a Tesla.

Agreed I guess I just don’t want a truck screaming hey look at me. I would be much more impressed if I could fly by without attracting all the attention

The name of the special edition needs to be something catchy. Resurrection, Fossil, Evolution, Big Dig, etc. I think they should have named the Final editions, Extinction.
Extinction. I like that. As long as it's the final one. Lol.
