Unfortunately had to cancel my 26 order - too much craziness going on

You will not regret your decision. The TRX is such an amazing truck. Not even fair to compare the RHO to it. The RHO is a nice truck at a great price point, but you did very well! Congratulations.
Don't mind any of the trolls, man. Everyone is in different situations and you need to do what is best for you. The vast majority of the members are nice/helpful and would gladly have people who positively contribute to the forum, even if they don't have an RHO. I jumped ship about three weeks ago back into a '25 V6 Raptor but I still pop in and keep tabs on a few people that I've chatted with. I'd actually love to share my thoughts on here at some point because, in many ways, I feel the RHO is better, when it works. RAM just needs to figure their shit out...and I hope they do it soon because I have been seeing more and more used RHOs pop up for sale.

Thank you guys - appreciate it

I know I know - JUST LEAVE!!

I have to admit I really like this board and i've met some really cool guys here. It's almost the same truck so if you'll allow me maybe i'll stick around a bit. I do like the RHO platform and was all in and happy with my order from Jim Glover I had in early April- Adam has been great and responsive the whole time.

Unfortunately or maybe blessing in disguise my 25 order (as many others) was canceled in June and pushed to a 2026. That was fine but there has still been 0 movement on the order. I had thought and hoped that RAM would prioritize those builds but apparently not. Add all the negative things owners have been posting on here - electrical issues - batteries - cats - thermostats - and the latest craziness of changing the trucks top speed from the advertised 118mph to 98mph was the last straw.

I truly hope all this bullshit gets sorted and you're all left with awesome trucks. For me I ended up spending 5k more than my RHO order would have been but I think it was worth it and in the long run i'll love it more.

Worked out a deal on a very nice low mile (18k) 2022 Granite Level 2 TRX clean car fax with carbon fiber package / bed utility/ pano roof/ and red seat inserts. I will be picking it up next week and having IGLA security system installed.

Anyway thank you to all the cool members I met and if you'll let an outcast chill with you guys occasionally I'll stick around. View attachment 15264View attachment 15265View attachment 15266View attachment 15267View attachment 15268View attachment 15269
Cool, I also considered the TRX in lieu of the RHO. You can't go wrong either way. I've been through my share of repairs with the RHO 7 weeks in the shop, but Ram made it right, and I now have a 6 year 100k mile warranty. I really wanted the V8 sound but after driving the RHO I was done. Enjoy the TRX Brother and good Luck!

I did the same thing I got a 23 with 6k miles. What did you pay I was at 98 but it had literally every option they made and was show room clean. I had 25 ordered they waited 5 months to tell me it wasn't happening then told me I couldn't get red. So I said see ya. I gotta tell ya I don't even care if over paid the supercharger was worth it. Fyi get the comm3x comma.ai it is the coolest thing I've ever purchased in my life for an aftermarket part. It drove all the freeway from Texas to az I touched the steering wheel maybe 5 min.

Those TRX's have insane resale. There is one at the dealer I ordered my RHO with, a 2022 with 138k(!) miles, MSRP of $84k, and they are still asking $62.5k for it. That's nutz.

That's exactly why I went with an RHO. The TRX is cool, but I can't fathom paying $62k for a supercharged V8 truck that has been thrashed around for 138k miles. Not to mention no bank is going to want to touch that loan without insane INT, meaning you basically need to pay cash, and if you have $60k in cash laying around you're probably not buying a beat TRX. :ROFLMAO:

True. It’s a sellers market until a new one arrives to market.

Which is what makes the RHO all that much more so of a value. I'm not paying $100k for a used 24 TRX with 20k miles on it when I can get $9k+ off a new loaded RHO with level 1 package for $76k or so. Sure, the TRX has a nice rumble to the exhaust, but it's only a few ticks faster than the RHO in the quarter mile (that a $699 inline tuner can resolve,) it sucks at towing, and the mileage is 40% less in the city - all that for upwards of $25k more.

I'll take an RHO with zero miles for $25k less.

Not even counting the significant interior and technology improvements.

That's crazy. My 22 had 16k miles on it. Level 2 with panoramic roof and red inserts clean car fax for 81k

$25k+ for “better sound” is an incredible achievement by Ram. I’d love to find that kind of margin in products I work on. I looked at TRX as well, but couldn’t fathom buying a 3-4yr used one for MORE than what I paid for a brand new L1 RHO.

Same can be said for the Raptor R. It’s absolutely insane to me that vehicle costs 2x what I paid for a RHO after their dealer mark-ups.

That said, resale is really the number that matters on these depreciating assets. Both of those vehicles have shown to have exceptional resale value, leaving minimal costs of ownership.

Here in California people still willing to pay for trx so I'm watching auctions constantly to get one low miles and minimal bids. I was able to get one 2 months ago 2022 with 6k miles MSRP 92. Let's just say posted for 98k and within 5 days was gone for 95k.

Yeah I'm into a 23 for 98 with 6k miles but that was basically msrp. Red inserts and every interior / technology option available. This thing never left pavement. It was worth it to me at least.

I have been a Raptor Fan boy since 2009...took me almost 8 years to buy first one...Since then I have owned 9 of them. The climatic pinacle of it was with my 2024 Raptor R...waited almost 2 years for it. hot start issues, shock corrosion issues, car play barely worked...in the most expensive Ford truck I ever owned. I sold it and never looked back..do I miss V8 sounds...yup, but 9mpg with premium fuel, sitting on a $140k truck that I use vs a $71-75k RHO...no brainer. TRX to me is worth $15k more than RHO...if its 730-750hp. If its 800+ then it would be much more exciting. If Ford got there quality issues together and put a nice interior in there truck I would be back in a Raptor in a Heartbeat...but Ram has them beat on Interior, HO hurricane is so much better than HO 3.5Ecoboost, Ram 8sp better. Ford has them beat on brand image, exterior and a little better off road truck.

-Next year 26 RHOs selling new for $73-85k and 27 TRX for 115-125k I bet. MSRP may start at $100k but they wont allow enough margin for dealers to discount and dealers will claim that Ram is allocating. From my sources TRX and RHO are going to both re running at regular production rates all the way til 2029 MY.

Have you heard any inside info regarding 98mph being the actual new top speed? And do you suspect they did give the rho a slightly detuned tune to prevent the cats from melting?

No sounds like its not. But still waiting for confirmation before I share more.

-Speed has nothing to do with Cats melting...what I was told is the cat melting issue is coming for a wire harness issue causing a grounding problem then messing up calibration thus sending un burnt fuel downstream and then melting cats. These Cats were designed to living a 950C temp for full life cycle testing. I see little concern with stock cats not lasting...as long a wiring issue or cal issue doesnt kill them. When you send fuel downstream from a miss fire things can get up to 1500C.

Interesting. Very good info. Appreciate that. Yea hoping the 98 thing is simply a silly mistake. Sounds like your leaning towards it being false and eventually fixed. That's good news for owners.
