Wishing you well - tough call. My thought only - Canyon Lake with a few imperfections is better than a perfect RHO in any other color. Maybe you can get free FlexCare or something similar out of it.

I Dont see that as justification to overlook paint quality issues for a 70k to 90k truck. Hell if it was a new 30k compass i would still want a new quality vehicle. I cant see accepting paint issues because down the road it will get scratched, dinged or whatever.

I would not accept any of this. End of the day, your money. Spend it how you want.

Out of college, I worked at a body shop that my dad purchased during retirement.

Had a guy come in with a brand new Chevy Celebrity. Somebody had scuffed his front bumper pulling out of a parking spot. He had an $1100 insurance check in hand & wanted his front bumper refinished.

I asked if the car was parked on the street often. “All the time”, he replied. I got some rubbing compound & a rag. Polished 90% of the scuff away & told him to keep his insurance money. Not worth it to repair such minor damage, but come back & see me if the car gets hit again. Two months later, he came back after a major front end collision. Over $4K damage after somebody ran a red light.

He returned two more times over the next two years. He sought me out & told me how thankful he was that I didn’t take his business the 1st time. He admitted being slightly annoyed with me for not repairing his “brand new car”, but admitted that I knew best.

Don’t sweat the little crap. Just not worth it. Keep the big picture in focus.
