What’s Your Daily Driving Mode Setup?

My routine every time I get in the truck (with shortcuts on Home screen):
  • Heated wheel - on (even in Texas and 365 days a year)
  • Drive Mode: Custom (Sport everything except street steering wheel)
  • press Auto Stop / Start off button
One thing I do like with Android Auto only using the top half of the screen for Waze / Google Maps is I always have my shortcuts displayed - especially the rear camera for pulling into my garage to know exactaly where to stop when I see the edge of the garage floor by the big door

I tried a custom this morning with street everything and sport suspension. Didn't really notice much of a difference but I also drive freeway most of the way in. I did see where you can configure auto mode to whatever you want, though so I may just alter that to sport suspension. Have yet to try any other driving modes.

Auto mode has some limitations. I don’t think Baja suspension is available in Auto.

Sport suspension definitely increases impact harshness, if you hit any sharp bumps.

Tried Rock steering in Custom today. Main thing I noticed was the return to center (normally adjusted via caster) was more pronounced. Steering wasn’t really lighter, that I could tell.

I am running the latest steering flash, so that may be a factor.

Interesting. I have no problem using Baja suspension in Auto setup, and I have a very noticeable change in Rock mode steering.

Coming from a 23 Raptor with the 37pkg, I am very disappointed with the suspension modes. This is my only issue as everything else about my RHO I really love.

In my Raptor you had sport, street, tow, and baja. You could feel the difference in each one. In Sport my Raptor cornered very flat, like all the body roll was taken out. In baja it didn’t float but was Cadillac smooth over bumps.

In my RHO you still get a floaty feel in sport. Honestly, sport, street, and tow feel the same. The only time I notice a little change is in baja. Definitely taking my RHO back to the dealer so they can see if there is a flash or defective shocks

That doesn't sound right. I'm routinely between auto and sport and notice big difference between the two. Steering wheel becomes stiffer and def less body roll in sport

I leave it in auto because I don’t need to change the steering feel or make the transmission hold the gears longer.

In Auto you can changer your suspension settings. When I go from sport to street or tow, you can’t feel any real difference. When I switch the suspension to baja I can barely feel a change. That is why I made an appointment with the dealer. I had it in baja and when I went over a large speed bump at 16-18mph, it made a clunk noise like the front shocks are blown. I feel like something isn’t right, whether mechanical or software.

Right I got you. Hopefully the dealer can easily identify and fix it. One reason we love this truck is the suspension

Definitely curious what you learn.

I’m just getting to know my RHO, but I did expect the suspension settings would have a greater impact. I don’t seem to feel a substantial difference. It’s overall very soft, and usually has 3-4 rebounds before it settles off of a bump in the road. Seems consistent in each suspension setting I’ve tried so far (sport, street, and Baja).

I’ve been searching for only a few minutes, but is there any document that explains the different settings and how they impact the vehicle? I can definitely feel difference in engine/shift points between auto, sport, and Baja, but not yet clear how the steering, suspension, etc is supposed to adjust.

I have not yet tried mud/sand, rock, snow, tow

Following. The Raptor has a definite difference in all changes.

I started messing with modes today and I think my customer set up is Baja suspension, sport transmission and rock steering..

Im going to correct this statement.

I more intently went through the suspension options today and I can definitely tell a difference between them, now. All of them are softer than my previous truck, though. Soft isn’t always a bad thing, but to me Baja has too much rebound for city/highway driving. I’ll be sticking with Street for the most-part.

Thanks for the tip on trying Rock steering. So far I’m liking that option. I’ll spend some more time with those other options here soon.
