Why the fuck can't I remote start this thing when it has 1/4 tank of gas?

The way they gauge the 70 miles is ridiculous too. Not sure if it happens to anyone else. But to me it’s stuck at 70 mi remaining for easy 10+ miles until it adjusts again. And then arround 50 mi remaining it will get stuck again for 10+ miles
And then you fuel up and it takes like 22 gallons.

On the remote start topic, do ever have to push the start button numerous times in the truck actually turn on when have used remote start?
Mine works fine, but I find the range can vary. Sometimes I can get it to start pretty far in my house. Others, I need to walk half way across it.

100% yes. Usually takes 2-3 times for it to work. Very rarely it works on the first double-click.
Every button in the truck requires at least two pushes to register...it's the hardware version of 'are you sure?' 🤣🤣

I mentioned in another thread that I think they should have this as a programmable setting. Let the end user set the range for the low fuel light to come on. And the set the range for remote start inhibit. The way it is it might as well only have a 25 gallon tank in it. @RamCares this is annoying. Is there anywhere you can suggest to the powers that be and let them know we don’t like this? While the low fuel light range of 70 miles is annoying. It’s tolerable, but the part of no remote start below 70 miles range that part is downright annoying and irritating. I would like to set that for 10 or maybe 25 miles
Definitely understand the cause for frustration here. We're always available for a conversation and for us to formally document your concerns for reference we would like your email or phone number (via PM to maintain your privacy).

It could probably idle for 15 hours with that much gas.

Who makes these decisions?
Nothing infuriates me more than this... Besides no memory seats in my peasant RHO. But, livid... Id rather the fuel gauge quit working so I cant see it has a 1/4 tank when remote start quits working. 🤬

Yep RGV this happens to me as well

Yes it’s something I’ve brought up to the dealership while I’m getting all my complaints and recall taken care of. There is a RF update and 2 BCM updates one of which is specific to vehicle not unlocking, locking etc with the key fob. I have constant issues with locking from fob, truck enabling with push start after remote start etc…

Just so everyone's aware- I don't actually have wrinkles 😂 . I am 36.

Wrinkled_Donut is, to put it bluntly, a term for a butthole (which I am).
Balloon knot is my favorite term 🙃

Interesting! Thanks for the heads up. Ironically I've never had locking problems with the fob. Only push to start.

Literally. I have to push the auto start stop twice every single time.

Same. The most rage-inducing is when I think it didn't actually work (but it did), so press it again only to have it immediately shut off after starting.
