Yes…the primary color is painted by robots but the lower color is painted by man. Hence all the issues and terrible quality across the board.

How else does the lower portion of the bed not get painted?

The fuel filler doors are painted offsite as well and we've seen issues with those.

Many moons ago when I lived in northeast PA my grandfather drove his old Plymouth down to Earl Scheib in Philly to get painted. He picked it up and drove it 2 hours home and when he arrived the doors were sealed shut! What an absolute riot, one of my funniest childhood memories.
