Double taxed, not following?

Get hit with taxes for this calendar year on my current truck, then get my RHO in Jan & the Great State Of NC wants the taxes for the RHO.

I understand. How long did you wait for the 22 Limited? Mine was 5 months. The RHO was 4 months. There was no reason last time, and this time the same. I would trust AnthonyRI from Mark Dodge. Trustworthy from his posts. I also agree with Mikey, wait on it, it will be worth it.

If not, check into what the cost is for the TT mirrors to be added at a dealership. Probably bigger bucks than the ordering. You can add boards at anytime but could come at a higher cost but easier than adding the TT mirrors.

Does NC offer any tax credit for selling your truck, if you plan on selling it? I would consider selling it now, if you can, if the credit is yearly based. Here in MO you have to sell/purchase a new vehicle within 6 months to get a credit. Private or dealer does not matter.

Here's a timeline showing the number of RHOs waiting for a window sticker. By "eligible", I mean trucks that are eligible for a window sticker (USA, Canada, Puerto Rico, Barbados, Guam, Dominican Republic). I don't know they WHY part, but the list is continuously getting longer...meaning trucks are stacking up more and more at SHAP as time goes by.

How do you know where the truck is at based on the vin?

For example, my vin is 1C6SRFUP9TN270173
Can you see where in production my truck is currently at?

There is a system the dealer can look at that gives codes that show where the build is at along the process...some dealers are just too lazy to look it up for you.

Another interesting tidbit on the RHO (and what I believe are problems that Ram isn't admitting):
While the RHO makes up about 6.5% of MY26 production at SHAP, it represents about 31.2% of the trucks stuck between BS and WS (as a snapshot in time). So it's WAY over-represented in the something-is-wrong-with-it department.

If they can't meet the demand, stop marketing it, all I'm saying. They keep f*cking around & they're going to end up with a surplus of them.

I'm in about the same boat, but I really want the CL color. One is "being built" at a dealer not too far from me, just has the decals (I don't want), upgraded wheels (don't give a shyt about), and doesn't have the tow mirrors or the running boards (that I DO want). Not sure what to do. The wife tells me just to wait it out, but she can see how irritated I am about the whole thing. Dealer is just like (duh-du-duh!). We had a plan to have this truck by the EOY, and it'd looking like that's not going to happen. So irritated.

Been there (8 months for me), but you should wait it out and get what you ordered your way. Thats my opinion, Ram likes to test everyone's patience.

Your truck is at body-vendor.
We have 32 of our trucks alongside yours in same place.
Their time at that stage ranges from 3-35 days, with an average of 13
This does not include all the ones that came and went. Just what is sitting there now.

I order mine from Mark Dodge. It’s a diamond black level 1 with no extras and it went into production on 10/27. Anthony and MD has been great but the whole manufacturing process makes no sense.

Just in case someone from Ram monitors this site, could you possibly make improvements to the notification timeline. Just be honest about what is causing the delays. Lots of us have a vehicle to trade or sell before the actual delivery date or the registration comes due for the following year. Also it might relieve concerns about getting a problem child or Shop Queen. Thanks for your consideration.

Waited exactly 3 months from date of ordered to delivery, during Covid.
I haven't looked into any tax credit for selling my 3500. It's my daily driver, so won't sell until after I get the RHO.

Ordered 12/4/2025. My first color choice (Canyon Lake) wasn't available so I went with Silver Zynith. Based on this thread, I know I have a long wait. I don't have a VON or VIN or anything yet. My current RAM is a loaded 2020 Rebel that I ordered and believe it or not, it came 3.5 weeks to the dealership after the order date. I guess my timing was perfect or those days are long gone...

Just heard ETA of mid-February to my dealer. Not bad timing! They are going to add the MagnaFlow speq exhaust system before I pick it up.

Hi @Eighty , in your experience, since the numbers seem to be getting to around 277, how long do you think before they hit like 289?
