As a general rule, no. There is ALWAYS a time frame where there are continual orders in the pipeline either scheduled, produciton, or transit for the prior model year, while the new model year opens up.

Only one model year can be OPEN FOR ORDERS at a time.
Only one model year will be in PRODUCTION at a time (per trim)
You can order 2026s while they are still finishing building/shipping the 2025s.

The 2025s were ordered and price protected AS 2025s which means they will also be eligible for 2025 rebates.
2026s are 2026s. and we'll have to see what rebates if any are applicable upon their arrival.
Are there freak exceptions? Absolutely! But changing model years IS normal and happens every year, this didn't sneak up on them, despite RAM not announcing all the dates of each interval to the public/dealers.

Not being a “wise guy”…serious question. Any news on quality improvements specific to 2026? Have they made any real, reportable progress in this area?

My 2025 is an early build & it’s been an unpleasant experience. Took the joy away from what should have been fun. Do I want to take a chance on a 2026?

I don’t see any change happening. I’m going with my 2025, picking it up Friday at MD. I was one of those guys going to wait for the 26 model but it didn’t make sense due to my trade in value now.

YES but not anything we can point to and call out specifically. There is continual improvement and feedback loop based on warranty work and chargebacks that get done by every single dealership every day.

The only known changes that we all hear about is when it comes to a recall, but many items are continually changing/progressing before ever reaching a recall level. This happens gradually over time too, not necessarily waiting for model year to flip over from one to the next. It is significantly less expensive to fix it as they roll off line than to have vehicles out in field with warranty issues. There is no reason to "hold back a fix" waiting for a new model year, if it can be addressed by dealers on site now on 25's and/or addressed at plant before departure.
