aFe Air Filter

I’m new to aFe filters, so this might be a stupid question… but is it common for the blue to fade to white? I have a few thousand miles on mine and opened my hood today. I was surprised at the color change

Yes, usually means that its no longer as oiled as it originally was. It may be time to add some more oil to the filter.

Thanks Chris. That was fast! I probably have less than 5k on the filter at this point!

I’ll get some oil ordered up and make it happen!

This is one reason I prefer dry filters, they eliminate the need for re-oiling. Just be careful not to over-apply the oil. Too much can get pulled into the intake and coat your MAF sensor, causing inaccurate readings.
