Hey everyone,

I was looking for the elusive white and purple and came across fakra connection at the driver side rear. I was wondering if this can be used to connect rear camera to camper/topper? does this connect to rear view mirror or to aux reverse camera?

Also I tried to wire per OVS instruction which has 3 wires. A blue to white wire. When I looked at the rear tail light plug there were 3 white wires. none of the white wires worked. however i did have constant power to the 3rd brake light.

I've noticed a lot of wire harness holder clips were not clipped in from factory. I'm going to look for the purple and white wire to tap to red wire and skip connection to blue wire.

I went with the white and purple wire install that @DinoNuggets suggested. It was actually very hard to find bc mine was not sitting on top of a wire loom, but rather was fully wrapped inside some super tough nylon-type tape that was all black and looked like everything else underneath there.

I was finally able to ID it by seeing a heat-shrinked wrapped tip barely poking out from the tape (a familiar site from another forum member on here looking for the same wire). The tape itself was impossible to rip open bc of how tough a material it is, so i had to blindly find a way to find the end to slowly unravel it and then voila, there was the white and purple wire!

Here are some pics. It is very hard to see this location as it is very high up close to the underbelly. I was able to snap these photos by raising my phone up super high and over some other wiring. I can see how another member was cutting up his hands bc it is right again the frame and you are literally blindly working from feel and not from sight.

By the way, i snipped off that heat shrink and opened it up out of curiosity… just more white and purple wire:

I really could not see this location from my back looking up. Here is a video that I blindly recorded with my phone to see if i can get some "eyes on it" and have a targeted area to focus.
